I went on a Wednesday night, and I cannot believe that I and my friend were the only ones in the place for over 2 hours. They had a bartender who was very nice, but the drinks were too expensive for the quality of product. When we left after 8 pm, only 1 other person had come in. I think the new renovation is great, But what is the use if nobody's there? Where are the nightly specials? Happy hour? Weeknight entertainment? This place has great potential to be a popular place in Oshawa. It used to be great a few years back. Great dance bands (The Bomb), good jazz, open mic nights. Why can't it do the same now? The bar was busy only 2 years ago. Why are all the other bars that are not renovated and have the same old customers busier with more revenue on a weeknight than this place is? Why? Regulars that's why. This isn't isn't Toronto, but Oshawa needs some class with great value and fun. Bring back good bands, special price nights on food and drink, and events that appeal to all tastes of Oshawa bar patrons, the new and old! It will bring in customers. The decor will sell itself!

I had a fantastic experience at Simcoe Restobar & Lounge. The ambiance is vibrant yet cozy, with a perfect mix of modern decor and casual charm. The menu offers a great variety of food and drinks, with something for every taste. I highly recommend the signature cocktails – they’re expertly crafted, and the food is equally impressive. The service was top-notch as well! Great place to hang out with friends!!

the owner had a rough start but i think he is worth a second try he did clean up a degenerate place unfortunately he did not add to the visual of listening to music and it drove all the old customers away - he seems to be trying now and it is enjoyable to sit in the very clean marble area he has made - please keep it up adding stage lights some character with decor

There aren't many places around anymore that welcome all levels of musicians to play and enjoy each other's company. For that reason alone I give them 5 stars. I hope to see more places like this around our area!

They tried to change the decor under new management. It’s not working. The music was absolutely horrible. I mean, the band should’ve stayed in the garage. I was heading to this venue to explore the jam session. If I was not a musician coming in specifically to learn the Oshawa scene, I would never have stepped inside. The entertainment needs attention. The menu is fractured and can’t make up its mind. Pick a lane and go with it. Drinks: some drafts not available. The other draft I had was flat and horrible. No cocktail options. Bartender wasn’t very good at chatting or trying to create a welcoming atmosphere or anything of the nature. It appears as though the new owner has just hired family. He’s not investing in his business properly or thinking long term. I give them a max of 6 months before the door close. I hope I’m wrong as Oshawa needs a venue that actually has bands, and more importantly, Jazz and Blues. (Not the standard pop crap you hear from every other guitar player in Oshawa)

Place used to be cool. Now it's terrible since the renovations. There are many way better places to spend your time and money. Depressing atmosphere, only has one pool cue with a tip on it. Didn't have the drinks that were on the menu. Lights were off with no music on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon. Really makes me wonder where they're getting the money to run this place. The previous design was way better, more warm, comfortable, and relaxing with the music stage and red upholstery. They should have kept it the same just with new materials. Big ugly board on the wall by the pool room, it seems like they don't care to make money, who knows what's going on. We had to explain how to make a Caesar and he put a green bean in it, which I've never seen before. I think many other people would run the place much better with more gratitude for the opportunity sadly.

Went here when it was still called simcoe blues. It's WAYYY better now. It gives off a way better vibe. Before it was dark and gloomy. But now it's nice and bright. Food was AMAZING. We got the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. I'm a Buffalo chicken wrap connoisseur (it's my go to at every bar/restaurant I visit). Easily gets a 4.5/5 stars from me. The whole experience was pleasant. Waitresses were also very kind and quick. Will definitely be coming back!

Discovered a true local gem! The food here is fantastic, with delicious West Indian dishes like chicken vindaloo and rice. The ambiance is just right, enhanced by great music and live performances. It’s not too crowded, allowing for a more relaxed dining experience. If you enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with excellent food, you’ll definitely love it here.
