The food is fantastic and the service is very pleasant and welcoming. It’s a great spot to come in during the busy days when you simply want to enjoy some tender, savory meat and sides. Our server, Sherry, was very kind and understanding of our allergies and first time visitation, and made everything very smooth! Bring the whole family if you choose to come here!

Overall good experience. Only issue was the service. They brought the food that we ordered very slow and this made the gold tier price was not worth at all. They also include tip in the price but they dont tell you about this.

I'd recommend Shinta for anyone craving a quality Japanese BBQ meal. This is one of my favorite spots for Japanese BBQ in the city, particularly because they offer great wagyu options, and an overall wide selection of menu items. However, the dessert selection here was just limited to a choice of either soft serve vanilla ice cream or a Melona popsicle. While not terrible, a bit more variety would have been nice. They have three all-you-can-eat menu tiers: Gold, Silver, and Black. The Gold option offers the most premium cuts of meat, which is perfect for those looking to indulge, while the Black being more basic, but still offers a solid selection. Like most AYCE places, prices are a bit higher Friday-Sunday & Holidays. The service was good despite some dishes mistakenly being brought to the table a few times. The staff was efficient, and we had our grill changed regularly without needing to ask, ensuring a great dining experience. I visited Shinta Japanese BBQ on a Thursday evening and was fortunate to be seated right away with a table for two. It's worth noting that reservations are usually recommended, especially for larger groups. There's plenty of free parking, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

We only tried the cheapest AYCE manual, decent amount of food choices, taste and freshness is ok, not the best around. I assume the more pricey manual would be much better? Good services from our server.

I recently dined at Shinta and had an exceptional experience! The Wagyu beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, truly melting in my mouth. The variety of cuts and other offerings at the buffet were impressive, allowing us to enjoy a wide range of flavors and textures.

Shinta Japanese BBQ is my fav Japanese all-you-can-eat bbq spot and we love going to Richmond Hill location. We have recently visited this spot again last weekend and have enjoyed their Black Menu! Love their variety of premium items available such as Prime Kalbi Short Rib, Pork Belly, Sausage, Chicken Thigh, Chicken Karaage, Shrimp, Sake Clams, Salmon & more. My faves was the Kalbi, big & juicy garlic shrimps, and new items such as Marinated Steak with House Special Sauce, Steak with Sweet Soy Sauce, Bibimbap, and Tempura Udon. The pineapple is perfect for grilling, but it's so fresh & sweet that I just ate it as fruit. 😋 I love wrapping the grilled pork belly inside lettuce 🥬 & eating it with the Korean Bean Paste. Karen also provided attentive and great service to us! We will be back for more soon! 🤩

Probably one of the best AYCE BBQ grill places I've been to. Is it expensive? Yes (surprisingly cheaper than other competing establishments like this, though). The tiered AYCE menu adds to that. But is it good? Absolutely. The Wagyu beef cuts alone along with the other items on the menu really do make it worthwhile for special occasions or when going out in a group.

My sister loves this restaurant so I’ve been here multiple times over the last 3-4 years but yesterday must have been the best service I’ve experienced. They’ve recently added more selection to their menu which was a pleasant surprise (steak, tempura udon, seafood medley, etc). Service was exceptional as they cleared out empty plates quickly and consistently. Asked us often if everything was well, and changed our grill twice without being asked. Food selection is decent and the customer service was appreciated :) called in 10 minutes before coming since there were just 2 of us and they were able to accommodate immediately (Friday around 6:30) Thank you!
