The chicken shawarma was pretty solid; Chicken was tender and the saj bread was fresh with a slight smoky flavour. And it's at a very good price, so I would definitely recommend

Went to check out the hype and was sorely disappointed. The falafel was burnt.. When I pointed it out the lady said I can make it again but it will be the same. The manager then told us he would get me another order and it turned out the same. I have eaten a lot of falafel in my life but these were by far the worst. The stuffed grape leaves were close to frozen, and didn't taste good. The onion ring poutine was terrible. Very sweet and nothing like what a poutine should be. The beef shawarma and the beef and lamb bowl were good.

New location & glad to see a Mississauga location. They've got poutine (boutine), shawarma bowls and wraps. I've tried the oakville location previously so was excited to try this new location. Food was good but personally found it just OK this time. For the bowls, it came with only 5 pieces of chicken for the regular which is very little, considering the regular portion comes with quite a bit of rice. The toppings were also not enough, though the hummus was generous. The wrap we ordered was good and had good flavors. Staff were friendly and it wasn't a long wait to get the order. Lebanese churros were just ok, a bit plain. The fries were good and well seasoned. Conveniently located next to the highway and in the same plaza as a gas station.

Finally went to Shelby's at Mississauga, the shop is amazing along with the hilarious branding, the open kitchen, online ordering is also very modern. I ordered the lamb and beef rise bowl which was a little disappointing as it did not have a typical Arabic flavor, it was more of a fusion. My son loved the shop, but food needs an overhauling.

Found their regular chicken shawarma bowl to be an okay-to-good in terms of flavour. Good portion size. Although their overall setup seems to be designed for efficiency, it still took 20 mins for me to receive my order. Seating is limited upstairs - they have about 5 tables. Seems to be more of a takeout spot. I did enjoy the branding - the best I've seen for a shawarma spot so far. The waiver on using ketchup listed on the receipt was hilarious

Overall bad restaurant for its purpose (food), cringe for its sentiment: comedy. If you want comedy go watch Netflix or go a standup. Food: I had the beef and lamb shawarma on half rice half fatoosh. The beef and lamb had a very funny taste that was reminiscent of something that has gone stale, garbagey flavor to be completely honest, honestly. There was about a flat handful of meat in the “legendary” size. The fatoosh salad had 3 small pieces of fried bread for half the “legendary” size which is about 12% bigger but around 30% costlier. My math might not be exact but this is what it appears to be. Of course, this costed me 25$. The only good thing about the meal is the rice, which was plentiful (too much as an obvious desperate attempt to make up for the meat that was missing) Atmosphere: they had a nice upstairs deck, but seating was sub optimal, which is acceptable for a restaurant of this tier, the atmosphere is also available everywhere you’re outside Service: could not get a custom order, couldn’t even get the order right :/ At least the employees upstairs looked like they were having a blast playing some sort of game The restaurant seems to have invested a lot more in marketing (cringe type of comedy - see attached images) than they did in their food, which is the promise of a restaurant establishment. If you’re looking to eat, be smart with your money. Go elsewhere.

I enjoyed the shawarma experience here at Shelby’s. I got the traditional wrap with spicy garlic and hot sauce. The spices are not too hot but rather flavourful. The saj is made fresh in front of you and that adds a nice freshness to the wrap. The toppings were good, sauces mixed together well and overall a good tasting shawarma!

I was recommended here by a friend of mine. -The food is not that great. Not happy with how it tastes. Beef was chewy and not tender. Chicken breast shawarma is better. -The waiting time was 25+ minutes which is so disappointing. Even though the dine-in wasn't that busy. They were too busy packing uber orders. - The washroom wasn't clean and the washroom floor was greasy and I was about to slip off. - They have good numbers of staff but late food service, dirty and greasy washroom floor is very disappointing. The staff seems like they are lost, everyone is doing everything hence nothing is moving. Even though the restaurant has good up to date equipment in the kitchen which I'm very pleased to see. But what's the point if its not serving the purpose! Ain't going there anymore.
