While I understand that meeting everyone's expectations can be challenging, I believe that food quality, especially basics like properly cooked rice and flavorful chicken, should be a standard in any establishment. My critique was not meant to be overly harsh but rather constructive. As a customer, I hope my experience can help you identify areas for improvement. Original review: Both chicken and rice are way too hard. I went there around 4:30 and for some reason the rice was hard as rocks. The chicken was a little bit better but it was not very juicy nor tasty. Price wise it was expensive for the quality of food I received. honestly i’ve never been to a shawarma place who loads you up as much as they did for me. the taste was definitely there too, had good flavour and the staff is excellent. shoutout to the super jacked guy who made my shawarma plate, it was gas.

I came here today because I saw really great reviews for Shawarma Stop. Unfortunately, the BEST part about my purchase was the service. The staff is incredibly nice and they always had smiles on their faces. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate. It was very bland, which is disappointing because I was looking forward to it due to the raving reviews I read. On the bright side, they fill up the plate to the brim. So from one order, you basically have 2 meals!

Had a delicious lunch at Shawarma Stop. The owners are super nice & welcoming. The food was so delicious! My husband loves the falafel wrap and the chicken wrap was so good. Highly recommend!

I am always looking for new food experiences when I travel for work and Markham is a great city to do this. When traveling for work this week we tried the Shawarma Stop based on a recommendation from a coworker. I was not familiar with shawarma but they offer several options of meat (beef, chicken, lamb) and you can get a wrap or salad. I opted for the wrap and got everything on it, even the hot sauce. It was delicious. I would definitely go back. It was also pretty reasonable for the amount of food. The service was great too. I assume the owner made our food and he was really friendly and helpful when ordering.
