Shawarma Point

Worst shawarma I’ve ever had. Never thought shawarma can be so bad. Def getting Shelby’s next time. Food was too spicy to even taste and I got medium spice and also the chicken and rice was soooo bland like a white person made it.

I have ordered shawarma bowl from uber eats and honestly it was the worst shawarma i have ever tasted in my life. Even i would say it's not a shawarma. It's just rice with curry and chicken. The rice was oily and the chicken tasted really bad. Totally disappointed

ordered on uber eats after reading glowing reviews here and was quite disappointed. barring the fact that our food arrived barely warm (which could be attributed to our delivery driver, so I will not hold it against this place) the food was unexpectedly subpar in both the way it was presented and the quality. first, I have never ordered a wrap from a shawarma place and had to add toppings myself. we received all additional toppings on the side ($1-1.25 each for pickles, turnips, etc), so we had to add them to our wraps ourselves, which was a soggy and messy endeavour, since I don't think shawarma wraps are meant to be unwrapped. additionally, the shawarma poutine had zero cheese curds, and the fries were stale. the falafel was far too dense, pretty flavourless, and soggy. I am really disappointed in this experience. I ordered from here after trying Shelby's hoping to escape their soggy falafel, just to somehow receive worse falafel from an independently run shop.

Update: I don't know what has happened but the last 3 out of 5 visits the chicken hasn't been good. Constantly finding myself having to spit out pieces of chewy chicken fat. Which ends up ruining the meal because I'm worried the next bite is going to be the same. I was hoping this was a one off but seems to be common lately. Seems the chicken isn't being cleaned properly of all the excess chicken fat. I don't think anyone ever has said " yumm chewy chicken fat". Really hope this changes and they go back to spending the time to deliver the deliciousness they once did. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 Original review: My new addiction! Soo happy I tried this spot out! Wish I tried it sooner. The food here is delicious and the portions remind me of the good old day ( every other place has been cutting back taking away the value). I have nothing but good things to say about this spot. This place doesn't have all the bells and whistles like other spots but what it does have us great food, amazing portion sizes and the right price! I eat here at least 2 times a week since trying it. Service is friendly and usually quick! Food is delicious. Price point is great. Hummus is actually my favourite from here. I probably won't go back to any my other spots. Unless something changes at this spot. If you haven't tried this place. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Shawarma point never disappoints! Their chicken shawarma platter is the best around, they don't mess around with portion sizes, they give you plenty of meat as well, safe to say I can never finish it. I highly recommend these guys, best shawarma platters in town. Edit: this platter was so heavily filled I couldn't close the lid properly hence the spillover, portion sizes speaks for itself.

Amazing food, great service! Lots of space to sit and comfy seating. This place is quality food and its halal! This family owned business is the 10/10, and they're very welcoming! I'll definitely be back very soon again! Highly recommend! And! Spacious, clean washroom!

Bright dining area, delicious food, great amounts for the price. Best hummus I've ever tasted. Accessible (do have to find the dipped curb) and friendly service.
