Everything was absolutely terrible. The kitchen and washrooms were both filthy, and I lost my appetite after washing my hands. It’s hard to believe a place serving food would allow its restrooms to be in such poor condition. Clean facilities are essential, especially when customers rely on them to wash up. The grill tray in the kitchen was grimy, surrounded by old foil that should have been replaced. As someone who cooks regularly, I know it doesn’t take much time or effort to keep a kitchen clean. With so many affordable cleaning products available, there’s no excuse for neglect. When you serve food, hygiene isn’t optional – it’s a responsibility. The sandwich was just as disappointing. Stale oil coated the vegetables, and I noticed dust and flies on them. The overall lack of cleanliness was shocking and unacceptable. I’ll be sure to warn others not to buy from here. This experience was especially disappointing because Max Shawarma used to be a favorite of mine. When my husband and I first discovered it three years ago, it was spotless, and the shawarma wraps were delicious. We ordered from them regularly, two or three times a week. However, after moving away, I hadn’t visited in a while. Today, I was excited to return with a friend, only to be thoroughly let down. Eating here made me feel sick, and I regret having to leave this review. Giving one star feels too generous, but it’s required to post. It’s sad to see how far the quality has fallen.

This place used to be good, service became so poor, the middle aged guy with glasses has such a lame attitude that makes you want to quit the place. Contrary to the general reviews, the food was great i got a chicken shawarma wrap and was really good

The people working there are nice, so i did not give it 1 star. When i walked in, i knew i shouldn’t order from there. The sauces looked gross, but i gave it the benefit of the doubt. I got the chicken on the rocks. The chicken tasted alright. it was cooked well; there wasn’t much seasoning, but that’s okay. However, everything, including the rice, has this off, stale oil flavour that i can’t get past. if it weren’t that weird flavour, the food would be okay. I don’t think anyone should eat here until they fix whatever is causing that.

If you're looking for a low maintenance shawarma place to get takeout and you're not in a rush then this place is decent enough. The complaints about slow service rang pretty true, it took almost 20 minutes for us just to come in and order two chicken on the rocks specials because there was just one person working there trying to do everything. She seemed really nice but I think she could use some help to move things faster! There are some tables for sitting but I would recommend just grabbing it and going. Atmosphere isn't really all that great. The food tasted pretty good though. The garlic sauce didn't disappoint. Would probably come back again when the craving hits but not if I'm in a rush 😅

Absolutely disappointed…the rice was terrible, worst I ever had. It was extremely soggy, like extremely. The tahini sauce’s viscosity is so off, it was 100% watered down. When the person put it in, I wanted to cry because I regretted that decision when I saw how liquidity it is. Ohh and I am pretty sure they use Frank’s hot sauce for the shawarma. Disgusting. And this is what is left of the food. Paid $34 by the way. What an absolute joke. Will never comeback, this is a scam.

3.7 / 5.0 - Middle Eastern Take Out - Quick Service. Respectable late night. I can’t comment on lunch. Pretty sure dinner is online. It’s not really a dine-in destination but good quality take out anytime of day from my experience. My meal at 2am was fresh, well made and tasty. If it was Sunday to Thursday, and I was in the area, this is a great late night option. Service was strong from what I got, but can’t guarantee. Not a long term solution, but a late night reliable one. Pictures say a lot. They told me not eat here and leave….. Then changed and said okay stay. So I don’t have clarity on that. I’d keep this to a late night option or quick fix.

Being in a prominent area, they should really consider serving fresh food and cleaning up their restaurant. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap combo and falafel. Veggies in the wrap were not fresh and chicken was a bit bland. Fries had ton of oil draining out and tasted off which seemed to be caused by old oil. They just heated up a pre made falafel in microwave and served. For the price they are charging and the kind of service they provide - the food is way below standards set by other local shawarma joints in the city. Worst Shawarma experience I’ve had in the GTA area by far. Not recommended.
