Shawarma Maroosh

Really really good shawarma. Got the chicken saj meal. Best in the area. Best in Toronto is still Yaseen Shawarma, but this is the best within a 30km radius, and esp Iraqi/Irani style if you're a fan. Very good price for what you're getting.

Good service and quality food. It's Iraqi Shawarma, we were trying Iraqi food for the first time. Everything tasted very fresh. I wish they made it shawarma more saucy, that's the only recommendation.

First time here and it did not disappoint. The chicken shawarma on rice tasted fresh and light! Plus the portion was big. We’d definitely love to try the other items on the menu next time.

Wow. Amazing food. The vegetables and ingredients are so fresh. & such kind staff working here too. Plus their interior is so clean, bright & welcoming. Highly recommend this to anyone nearby especially if you’re looking for good food near Wonderland!!!

Amazing, 5/5. Very incredibly kind, generous staff to my family and special attention to our daughter, even gave her a special smiley face pizza treat! All of the food was very delicious, the cheese manakeesh is 100% my favourite thing to order here. The egg and cheese manakeesh is GREAT for breakfast, and the beef and chicken shawarma plate is juicy and yummy. Amazing breakfast place, will recommend and will return!

Good ingredients, has fresh breads but can have more options especially other than carbs. Hummus is average, rocker bread is good. Clean space and has good staff.

I stumbled upon this place looking for something to eat. Thank the stars above I did. This may be my favourite new spot. Prices are fair, extremely fair especially considering the quality of food and quantity. The place is extremely clean. The owner and staff are amazing people. Great conversation and gentle souls. The best thing about this place though is actually the food. Everything is made in house, starting from the breads, sauces shawarma etc. I said everything, I lied the only thing that isn’t house made was the saj (which I didn’t know till the end lol). The Beef Shawarma Saj melted in my mouth and had a perfect mix of fat in there. So simple yet so good. I dressed it as traditional as can get with tomatoes tahini and hummus. The only thing is the next time I’m going to get it in the saloon bread which I wish I did because it looked amazing and it was made I. House in their Italian Wood Oven. I also got the Shawarma Rocket which is basically a Manakeesh folded. Again they made this fresh, they make their own dough and cooked it in their huge Italian wood oven. The manakeesh exterior was crispy but the whole rest of it was soft light and fluffy. I chose chicken and I usually never do, but it was seasoned nicely and tender. The cheese and sauce blended so well. Honestly I’m going back sooner than later.

In true Iraqi fashion, we experienced the hospitality of Maroosh! We enjoyed their yummy shawarmas, manakeesh and their rocket! The hosts were the kindest and left us with a few free baked goods too! We will definitely be back inshallah!!!
