The family and associates are always such a pleasure to see. I’ve been coming since they opened, as have many of my colleagues, and they never disappoint. The flavour and portions are perfect, and you must try the soup!

Great food, big portions, lots of flavour! Very authentic Shawarma. I have tried a lot of Shawarma around Toronto and I think ‘Shawarma Istanbul’ serves up the best tasting plate. It offers a bunch of different condiments and toppings that adds to the dish!!! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to eat a satisfying and healthy meal!!!

I ordered a beef sandwich with three different sauces. It was cold, which is fine, I expected warm but I can roll with cold. The meat was really dry. I had two bites that contained sauce, it looked like they made the item then just put sauce on the very top. It gets one star only because I was starving and I can't give zero stars but I would never come here again. It is an embarrassment to shawarma for this place to sell alleged shawarma

My first ever review, don’t have time for this but this was so bad they deserve it… Been ordering from This place past year, 2 times a week or more. They don’t really have proper shawarma. Their meat consists of more fat than actual meat. However, today I received an order as dry as the dessert. No sauces, plus I got a bone in the first 2 bites. I’ve eaten at every shawarma spot & trust me this is probably the worst shawarma spot in Canada! Save your time & money.

The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly welcome from the staff, which instantly made me feel at home. The ambiance of the place was inviting and clean, adding to the overall positive atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visit was the portion sizes. They were incredibly generous, offering great value for money. Whether you're really hungry or just looking for a hearty meal, Shawarma Istanbul has got you covered. Now, let's talk about the food – simply put, it was phenomenal. The shawarma was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by fresh and well-seasoned vegetables. The sauces were just the right balance of tangy and spicy, enhancing every bite. I As someone who has been to many different shawarma spots in the GTA such as Berlin Doner, Champion Doner, and Sumaq, I can confidently say that Shawarma Istanbul stands out above the rest. None of those places can compare to the incredible taste and quality of food here. It’s clear that they use fresh, high-quality ingredients and put a lot of care into their cooking. In addition to the amazing food, the service was top-notch. The staff went out of their way to ensure I had a great dining experience, checking in to see if everything was to my liking and being attentive without being intrusive. If you’re a shawarma lover or just looking for a fantastic meal, I highly recommend Shawarma Istanbul. It’s a gem in the GTA that’s definitely worth visiting. I know I’ll be coming back regularly!

Very good place with very inconsistent portions/service which makes it very disappointing. I have ordered twice in person and several times on Uber. On Uber they give you the chicken shawarma in the smaller portion box when they would never do this before, I'm paying for a chicken shawarma,not a salad. I go in person Sunday night and receive plenty of chicken and rice. I go in person again today and the woman server with lots of attitude tried to give me my portion in the smaller compartment, and when I said I wanted it in the bigger compartment, she said they don't do that, meanwhile I have pictures from my order the last week. She ended up giving it to me in the bigger compartment but barely gave me any food. Disappointing.

The quality of the food was very good. Shawarma was tasty, however important UberEats order notes were missed. I asked for the included sauce to be on the side, not on the shawarma, and after delivery I saw that the restaurant wrote on the receipt that I should "pay more" to get sauce on the side. I wasn't asking for extra sauce. I was asking for the included sauce to not be on the shawarma. "On the side" doesnt mean "extra". It means not on the shawarma. This request was because of a dietary restriction and my partner wasn't able to eat half of her shawarma plate because it was covered in the sauce. Also, considering the 50% off promotion, the amount of food definitely wasn't worth the "original" price of $50. Clearly the portions were reduced due to the Buy 1, Get 1 promo they were running, which is dishonest. The portions were significantly smaller than the photos on Uber and on the menu attached to the delivery bag.
