Shawarma Club

There is an extremely unpleasant woman who answers the phone. We ordered 3 dishes and one was completely wrong. We called to fix it, rather than go through skip and get refunded. The woman who answered started raising her voice even before my husband had finished explaining what was wrong. She tried to blame him (while yelling) for making incorrect selections, but when we verified our order it was clear that no error was made on our end. This is not a negative review on the food, as we have eaten here many times and always loved it. Our only problem is with the terrible customer service, and of course today’s order as my poor husband did not get anything he wanted. The email for the restaurant is disconnected and the phone has been taken off the hook. Never have I seen such a blatant disregard for the customer.

So the first time I visited Shawarma Club it was closed for renovations. I honestly forgot about it until it popped up on food near me on Google. So I was eager to taste some new Shawarma in the neighborhood. I ordered the mixed dinner meal as you can see from my bill, and also got charged HST. The person working had no clue what was going on. It was my understanding that all prepared foods from any restaurant fell under the government's tax rebate?!? I have no problem paying the price with taxes, like everyone else I just wanted a break since 90% of my food is takeout. Well I respect the fact they will give you a meal if you can't afford to pay. Now for the food. I will say that for the original cost of the meal and the amount of food you do get is worth the price. I got a lot of beef and chicken, less rice and salad. For the amount of meat I definitely needed more sauces. I'd even pay for that if I had to. And maybe a pita. Separate the salad for takeout so it doesn't get so soggy. I will visit again and just get the mixed on rice another day to see what happens. Hope this helps the restaurant and customers. Have a good day and happy eats.

Cake here with my girlfriend and we got the chicken on rice and it was super delicious ! The chicken was very tender and FRESH and the rice was flavourful. 10/10!!

The staff loves their restaurant and are more welcoming then any other restaurant I have ever been to. The quality of the food here is far beyond all competition, even imagination pales in comparison to the warm and delicious reality that is right here before our eyes. The value is earth shattering and can single-handedly save Ontario from the clutches of starvation no other place can feed you this much food and keep your wallet this happy. This place is more than a restaurant it is a testament of what humans can achieve, this is absolute perfection a world of bliss and a plate of shawarma. Update: after waiting for them to re-open after renovations, they are better than ever. I tried their beef for the first time and it was absolutely perfect. They’re doing all the right things and really put effort in their shawarma. Wish them all the best and will always be back. I stumbled upon this place at random. The first time I had a shawarma and was pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality and portion. Today I decided to return for a dinner plate and was very pleased with my decision. The chicken is cut right off the spit. The rice and salad was very fresh. I really liked the sauces they used too. Everything was just very well prepared and the portion was abundant. I will definitely return.

Absolutely horrendous, hygiene has no business here, the floor is so greasy that it needs a “Slippery Floor” sign, and you can see half of Toronto’s hand print on toilet walls and door, just disgusting. You will ask yourself how this place has a 4.7 rating until you taste the food. The food, one of the best chicken shawarmas I had in years, absolutely delicious, lots of flavour. This is one of the few rare locations that actually cuts fresh shawarma from the grill in front of your eyes. Hands down, one of the best. I will definitely return for more. One last word with the owner, I know you’re reading: you are very good at making shawarma, but not good at cleaning, please please hire someone to take care of this 🙏🏻🙏🏻

What a great spot!! Super fresh and delicious food at an amazing price!! I would definitely recommend this spot to friends and family. Plenty of parking and the service is super fast and friendly.
