Damn. Good. Food. I personally recommend the lamb and beef saj wrap. We kept coming back for this. You will never be disappointed and it was very affordable. Service is great and vibe was just there. I wish there were more seats tho but all in all just so great! This is now the family's favorite! 💖

Just tried the Mix Platter from Shawarma Avenue at Ridgeway Plaza and I'm absolutely blown away! Located in the bustling food hub at 9th Line and Eglinton, this gem truly lives up to its stellar reputation. The moment I opened the takeout container, I was greeted by an enticing smoky aroma. The chicken was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, while the lamb and beef combination was juicy and flavorful. The saj bread was fresh and pillowy soft, providing the perfect vessel for the succulent meat. The vegetables added a wonderful crunch and brightness to each bite, and their signature garlic sauce deserves special mention. What impressed me most was how well everything stayed fresh during the drive home. The wraps remained warm and crispy, not soggy at all, thanks to their careful packaging. The fries were still crispy, and the pickles added that perfect tangy kick to complete the meal.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. On December 23rd, around 9:15 PM, we ordered a Shawarma Family Chicken Platter, and shortly after eating, both our family and a visiting family from Boston experienced severe food poisoning. It was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. To make matters worse, I called the store around 11:45 AM and spoke to the manager (Mo) to explain the entire situation. Despite reporting the issue, I received absolutely no response for hours. There was no concern, no apology, and no effort to address the problem. The lack of accountability and customer care was truly appalling. I called again later and spoke to a different manager (also Mo) to follow up, but the response from the owner remained just as dismissive. While the second manager attempted to cover for the owner, it was too little, too late. This level of negligence and indifference is unacceptable. Food safety and customer service are non-negotiable, and Shawarma Avenue failed miserably on both counts. I strongly urge others to think twice before eating here. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what we did. Attaching the platter and call logs screen shot.

The shawarmas are always so fresh and flavourful and the service so quick. Thoroughly each of my visits here. Visit atleast once a month to enjoy their wraps. The falafels are fresh and piping hot. Love how well the quality and service has been maintained.

I randomly stumbled upon this place, and I am so incredibly happy that I did. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive! They suggested I try the pink sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! Please try the pink sauce. It also looks great in pictures! Ha! The chicken is so succulent and fresh. Hands down the best quality chicken I’ve had at a shawarma place. The presentation was also such a great surprise! I did not expect it to come on a board. The actual decor of the place was also one of a kind. The food portions are also so filling! I took some to-go and absolutely scraped every list bit into the container. I’ll be back to try out the rest of the menu for sure.

Definitely a place to check out if you are craving a good shawarma wrap. Beef and Lamb wrap was delicious and packed a lot of flavour for its portion size. Pretty filling too. The lamb and beef on rice was a good balance of sauce as well.

A tasty and delicious Saj Wrap. We got to the restaurant shortly after 12 noon on a Thursday and it was busy. All tables were taken but luckily a table became free before our order was ready. My friend and I both ordered the Beef + Lamb Saj Wrap ($11.99 - one spicy and the other regular) with all the toppings). The meat was so flavourful and moist and the garlic sauce, pickles and other fillings worked so well together. I literally couldn’t stop eating and gobbled it up much too fast, cleaning my plate of all the bits that fell out. I got mine spicy and enjoyed the punch of heat. I’m a small eater so I should have stopped at half but couldn’t resist eating the other half. The staff are really friendly and it felt like it was family run.

I am not a big fan of shawarma. My husband loves shawarma as he has spent around half of his life in Dubai and according to his taste it was okay. I didn’t like the quality of fries. Falafel was dense from the inside. Had better falafel somewhere in Ottawa. Coleslaw as a side is a good touch.
