Shanghai Taste

My wife dropped in to pick up some take out dinner. The lady owner was nice to tell my wife to call her directly instead of ordering online. That is a nice 👍 personal touch especially for a first timer here. I personally loved the stir fried rice cake with classic Shanghai flavours. And there was a sunny side egg 🥚 served with it which is odd because this is a first for me with this dish. The dumplings and wontons are all home made and they all had their own distinctive textures and seasonings. Good 👍 stuff. When I saw 👀 the sheer amount of items that are available, I was a bit shocked 😳. But hey, as long as the food is good … who am I to judge right? This is a local mom and pop business run by hard working blue collar folks who deserve our support. Happy eats everyone 😎

Pretty much a home kitchen style restaurant. Looks like they want to make everything but nothing specialized. Not even close to what authentic Shanghai style cuisines are. They started prepare mobile orders not when they received the order but you actually showed up in the place, which also made the waiting time extremely long and painful. Would avoid this place at all chance.

We ordered dishes for pick up via UberEATS. The place is a small shop inside a commercial plaza. Food is okay and priced fairly. Don't expect to eat fancy Chinese food; food selection is more "homey."

First time here! Staff are nice and friendly. Got their sweet and sour pork with rice. It came with a fried egg and Napa cabbage, very nice. I plan to come back and try more different things. I have ordered many times from this restaurants and I find the biggest issue is that the food quality/taste is really inconsistent. Sometimes the food tastes really good and sometimes the dishes are just awful. Makes me wonder if there are two main chefs working different shifts and one of them obviously has no idea how to make authentic Shanghainese dishes. So pretty much ordering from there is a hit and miss.

The dessert and the food was terrible! Desserts were so dry and the egg tarts tastes like it’s been stored such a long time. Cream puffs were so dry no cream inside. 关东煮was literally a couple fish balls quail egg and lettuce. Absolutely now worth the price
