Our first time coming in yesterday and what a treat! The whole team took such good care of us but the man who was serving our table primarily I think he said his name was Pat(?) was so lovely and attentive. He suggested a few dishes for us to try and he was bang on with all of his recommendations, making sure that the kitchen was aware of my allergies and paired our food with amazing sake which we had never tried. He made sure our first time was unforgettable, we can't wait to be back! Thanks to the whole team at Shakers club, we look forward to coming back again soon!

The food was interesting fusion and the restaurant itself gave funky but intimate vibes. It was really fun to sit at the bar and kind of see how the chefs made the food, although that also meant little to no table room lol. At least they have hooks under the counter for your stuff. My favourite dish I tried was the okonomi-latkes. I wish it wasn't the last dish we were served bc by then I was too full to enjoy it properly, but it was still so tasty. I was expecting more okonomiyaki elements (like not just okonomiyaki sauce) but it was still enjoyable as the latkes part was so crispy and good. I also liked the double oeuf onigiri (with nori) but I did find it a bit too salty. I'm also glad my sister and I picked nori over bread for the items that gave the options bc the bread would've definitely sent us over the edge lol. The tamagoyaki brought back memories of Japan eats, but I definitely wish it was served warm not chilled. However, I think the beef tartare missed the mark a little. It wasn't bad but there were a lot of chewy parts in the meat that made it kind of a nuisance to eat, and there wasn't enough seaweed imo. Otherwise, this overall experience was great and I'd definitely consider coming back to try their other unique dishes. We were too full to get dessert which I'm sad about 😢

Walk-in only spot with fantastic vibes. The interior decor is fun, like an old school diner but make it intimate and add some really good Asian inspired dishes. The Clam Frites and the Galbi Mandu were so good. Ideally, would recommend for groups of 2-4.

stopped in for some drinks before dinner and really loved the chill diner atmosphere. ended up ordering the latke’s and they were top tier. wine list is small but solid - mostly from grape witch imports, really nice selection. staff was chill, humble and nice, ill be back 🍷

Good food, great vibes. It’s a small place with good music and intimate seating. Great for a small group down for shareables. I really enjoyed the latkes, galbi dumplings and corned beef fried rice. Cucumber salad was also top notch. The only item I didn’t love was the pork skewer. Been here twice and highly recommend.

I gotta say, everything at this restaurant was super awesome! The vibes were fantastic, creating a cool and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, with the Tuna Tartar and skewer dishes stealing the show. The service was attentive, making me feel well taken care of throughout my visit. If you're in the GTA and looking for a great dining spot Shaker’s club is the place to be. Highly recommended!

5. Really loved this spot! Didn’t have reservations (I don’t think they take them and we got in on a Saturday night). Food was excellent- really interesting and thoughtfully made dishes with various Asian flavors. Dishes came out well timed and they were explained nicely. Really loved the cucumber salad, the shrimp skewers, and the egg omelet starter in broth. Service was great- super friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, and they brought us a pitcher of water which was great. Good spot for sharing and trying a bunch of stuff- big variety of vegetarian, meat, and fish dishes. Space is very cool- went with friends but would be nice as a date spot too! Patio seating is accessible and it’s kid friendly. Amenable and accommodating of dietary restrictions!!
