Decent spot in union station for a smash burger. Crinkle fries are pretty good too. Can pass on the cheese sauce.

Service was great, really like how they have the buzzers when your number comes up on the screen to know when it's ready instead of yelling out everyone's name. Burger itself was average, $9 for the single patty version, bun was on the softer side, but it could be worse. The shack sauce was excellent, would definitely recommend getting that as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or fries. Teen burger from A&W for the same price is better value and they often have the $4 coupon.

The popular Shake Shack US burger chain's name originates from the movie Grease. It operates numerous shops in the US and Asia. The first Shake Shack in Hong Kong opened its doors on May 1, 2018, at the IFC mall. Being part of the first group, I joined the long lineups and tasted the shroom burger for the first time, falling in love with it instantly. The deep-fried portobello mushroom stuffed with melted munster cheese was a delightful discovery. As a result, I have grown to appreciate Munster cheese immensely. The first Shake Shack burger location in Hong Kong is strategically situated on the rooftop of a high-end mall. Whenever I shop at the mall, I make it a point to purchase my favorite shroom burger. Interestingly, I have not had the opportunity to try the original shake burger yet. It is crucial that I sample it, along with the chicken burger, on my next visit. I have been informed that the chicken burger is exceptional. Since my initial experience with the shroom burger a few years ago, I have not had the chance to enjoy it again until recently. My travel schedule in Japan last May was hectic, causing me to miss the opportunity to taste my favorite shroom burger again. Nevertheless, I was pleased to learn that Shake Shack has established a presence in Toronto, and I promptly tried my beloved Shroom Burger. The flavor was reminiscent of the one I enjoyed in Hong Kong a few years ago. Furthermore, I sampled the Chocolate Peppermint Shake, which was thoroughly enjoyable. The Union Station location features a bright and airy atmosphere, with a bar offering alcoholic beverages. One observation I made was the patrons' use of ordering stations to accelerate the process.

Great to have another Shake Shack in the city. A smaller location than I was expecting but it works. All the food options you'd expect but also they sell alcohol 😉. Glad to see Shake Shack expanding in Toronto. Can get Trader Joe's next!

Burgers are on par with their NYC locations. Went on a Sunday, so wasn’t as busy. Really great service too. Food was brought out quickly.

Food is pretty poor, definitely not worth $20 for a burger and fries. Vegetables are old and cook on patty varies a lot with orders. Service needs work, we ordered 3 double burgers and got completely different orders (all single patties with all types of toppings), had to wait another 20 minutes in line for 3 new ones and even those orders were wrong. Could not be bothered to ask again.

It is well-executed and a lovely addition to Union Station. Perfect spot to grab a bite while you wait. The atmosphere is a 10/10. I wanted to share my appreciation for their preparedness; on opening day, I waited 10 minutes for my order to be ready with no line at 2 PM. It was insanely busy, but they did an excellent and timely job. Now, the food, on the other hand, was disappointing. The fries were delicious. However, they were cold, and I ordered to go, but the staff did not want to give me any condiments and told me to grab the tiny cups of ketchup as the burger was too chewy and burnt. But everything was fresh, and I see the potential, but 15$ for a single patty and fries…I would hope the fries to at least be warm.

Great atmosphere and classic food. Comparable to the American chains but with the new cocktail selection pilot! Great as always, and good to have this American classic in Union. A much welcome change of fast food for commuters!
