Scotty Bons Caribbean Grill

Came in today. The guy serving me was very nice and friendly. Portion was big. However food taste of jerk chicken and bbq chicken was below average taste. Not sure if my taste buds wasn't used to Carribean food but I tried majority different cultural food and this was walmart package food taste.

Jamaican here… first time at Scotty Bons and I’m impressed!!! Seriously great flavour in the jerk chicken, boneless too… how they got such a great char on the outside yet tender and flavourful inside was impressive. Three of us, all loved and will be back.

Today I decided to go for Scotty Bons for lunch, and I’m glad I did! Firstly,the workers professionalism was a thing of beauty. They maintained being professional while servicing me in a way where I felt welcomed. Secondly, of all the three locations that I have been to, this meal is some of the best that I’ve had from this restaurant in a while. The gravy is rich, the fries are crisp, and the chicken is seasoned well. If you want a delicious option for lunch, then I recommend their jerk chicken poutine.

So this really ain't authentic. It's like a fusion of all sorts because I even had curry chickpeas. Different but I actually enjoyed it. I would definitely go back again. I'm sad at how they only have chicken breast. I love my dark meat.

Highly recommended. Ordered the Bbq Chicken Bowl and it exceeded my expectations. The chicken was so good; sweet (but not too sweet) and sticky. Not a fan of the filling in the beef patty but it satisfied my craving.

Excellent food! Very nice server, very polite. He gave me a sample of the jerk chicken, which was very good! Very generous plate for the price. Will surely go there again! Wooden fork and knife was the only sad side...;)

I got into the restaurant and it looked beautiful, it had a very colourful vibrant theme. The service was horrible? There’s a Filipino lady that works there, that is extremely stingy. She put 1 piece of onion and 1 thin slice of sweet pepper on my sandwich, I asked for hot sauce she put 1 dot of hot sauce, unbelievable. The cashier wasn’t paying attention and over charged me for an item I didn’t purchase. I won’t be returning, I don’t support businesses like this. Poor value for my money and short change me in the end. Over all I would not recommend based on poor customer service and being stingy and first impression.

Great food, solid portions, great service. The staff here are very positive and friendly. This was our first visit and they gave us samples to try different options. The food portions are great and very reasonably priced. The store is also very neat and clean, they obviously pay attention to and take care of the dining room.
