Scooped by Demetres (Distillery District) is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
For over 30 years, we've been making handcrafted artisanal ice cream in Toronto that have been featured in our famous Demetres desserts. Scooped By Demetres is our ice cream-only concept where ice cream takes center stage. Featuring a cast of unique, innovative and decadent flavours, each is masterfully fine-tuned. Since day one (back in 1989!) we’ve been using an ultra rich, high-butterfat, secret-recipe ice cream base in all of our ice creams. It’s what gives each bite such richness and decadence. Over the years, we’ve meticulously sourced the best ingredients from around the world - Belgian and French chocolates, Indonesian Vanillas, Spanish and Italian Hazelnuts, Californian Strawberries, Mexican Cajeta, the list goes on.

Very tasty and flavorful ice cream. The waffle cone is very crispy and thin. The scoop ball size was impressive.

Freshly baked cones with high quality ice cream. We tried the hazelnut chocolate and the raspberry cheesecake. We will go back for more flavours. Friendly staff and good size scoop.

I got the Supercrema Hazelnut Chocolate, which was good and tasted like I was eating Ferrero Rocher chocolates made into ice cream. My husband got the Midnight Chocolate Sorbetto and appreciated how chocolaty it was despite being dairy free. There were other flavors I was interested in trying but there was a two flavor limit for sampling, or the flavors were unavailable. Nonetheless, the staff was helpful.

Absolutely a MUST-TRY for any ice cream lover like me! This place offers fresh, warm waffle cones paired with authentic gelato in an incredible array of flavors that will transport you straight to dessert heaven. We got the cherry rose cheesecake, chocolate cashmere, and saffron ice cream, and each one was beyond extraordinary. The staff are incredibly friendly and encourage you to sample as many flavors as you like before deciding, which adds to the great experience. If you find yourself near any of their locations, don’t miss out. We’ll definitely be back for more soon!

Delicious and high quality ice cream. That said, it is definitely on the pricey end, sitting at around $9 after tax for a single scoop with cone. A nice treat if you’re walking around in Distillery District, especially in the summer.

This is, without question, one of the best quality ice creams I've ever had in Toronto! The ice cream was dense, the portions were generous, the selection was unique, and the flavours were outstanding! A special shout-out to Kayla, who was extra insightful and accommodating to make my experience as amazing and memorable as it was. As someone who is big on texture, she recommended I get the Hazelnut Chocolate and the Baked Apple Pie. But no matter what you try here, I highly suggest you get the waffle cone with the cup, and break it into the ice cream. It's the perfect complement! 😁

I recently stopped by Scooped by demetres in distillery and it was so yummy. The ice cream was creamy and rich, and the flavor I chose - lemon curd blueberry - was delicious. The combination of the sweet blueberry and tangy lemon curd was perfect. The interior was clean and simple, we got to sample some flavours as well. the staff were so patient! I ended up buying a pint of earl grey after to take home and the girl working there let me cut the line waiting for ice cream to pay for my item quickly!

Scooped in the Distillery District, Toronto is a hidden gem! The ice cream is simply amazing. We indulged in a delightful variety of flavors, including the scrumptious apple pie and rich chocolate. The taste was out of this world, and the quality was top-notch. The friendly staff and charming atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable. If you're a fan of exceptional ice cream, this place is an absolute must-visit. We'll definitely be back for more! 🍦👌😊
