Sansotei Ramen CityPlace is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
Sansotei is inspired by traditional ramen from various local regions in Japan. We source the highest quality ingredients both locally and direct from Japanese suppliers. Sansotei was founded in Toronto, Canada in 2012 with our first location in the heart of the city. Since then the passion and creativity that we bring to our craft has been well received by a broad clientèle, both critics and foodies alike. At Sansotei we strive to build a culture of hard work and dedication, and we are passionate about serving the best ramen, one bowl at a time. Today we have grown to serve multiple locations across the Greater Toronto Area, and Ottawa Canada, with new locations soon to open in North America and Asia.

Terrible portions and overcooked noodles. We ordered spicy tan tan and there was literally 4 granules of ground pork. Every other sansotei gives you a scoop of ground pork. The pork was charred and crunchy and uber eats won’t issue a refund. Don’t bother ordering from here.

After a long walk, I was looking for a place to sit down and enjoy a meal. Sansotei provided exactly that—a modern ambiance where I could relax and enjoy a delicious bowl of ramen. From the outside, the restaurant uses black to distinguish itself. The familiar signage of the ramen franchise I knew well assured me that I would have a good time. After navigating around the wooden fence, I entered the restaurant. Inside, it looked clean and modern. The decor was primarily black, but the wooden wall on one side, a black Japanese fabric curtain (noren) on the other, and thick ropes hanging from the ceiling like a chandelier made the interior quite interesting. As soon as I was seated, I got the menu. It had clear pictures of the available ramen, along with their names, descriptions, and prices, all easily readable on a single page. However, the paper menu was worn down on the edges, which slightly detracted from the experience. Here’s what I tried: Tonkotsu: I ordered the classic bowl with thin noodles and a side of extra noodles, and I was very happy with my choice. The ramen came piping hot in a bowl. Even the basic bowl included a full soft-boiled egg split into two, along with other delicious toppings like green onions and thin slices of pork belly chashu. The hot, beige, fatty soup made of pork marrow had fat floating on the top, and there was enough of it to accommodate the extra noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked to be soft yet still chewy. The broth was very well seasoned and matched perfectly with the noodles. I kept slurping until there was no more left in the bowl. I loved it to the last drop. As for the service, the gentleman who took my order was attentive at the beginning but allowed me to eat in peace afterward. The utensils and table were clean, as was the washroom. Overall, I had a great time at Sansotei Ramen. The restaurant offers good value, and I would not mind coming back when I am in the area and in need of a hot bowl of ramen.

Foods were nice as same as Eglinton location! But, service was a bit messed up..server was wearing an airpot LOL and the appetizers came when we almost finish our mains.

We usually go to this place for Black Tonkotsu ramen, which is so so good. But I also wanted to talk about slow cooked chicken. It was heavenly. The service is always great. The staff is nice and humble. Definitely give it a shot.

Food was okay. I ordered the Tonkotsu. The pork is sweet and the black fungus is softer than other ramen places. The soup was also a bit on the salty side. I needed to drink a lot of water once I got home. My 7 year old daughter wanted the Simple Set, but apparently they were out of rice. The service is good, though. We asked them to leave things out of our bowls and they did as instructed. It was pretty busy as well. All the tables were occupied so it was kindly lively inside. Would we come here again? Maybe. If we were in a pinch and wanted something quick, we could drop by here.

I recently visited Sansotei Ramen CityPlace and had a fantastic experience. The service was incredibly fast, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long for my meal. The best part was that the price was very affordable, making it a great option for a budget-friendly meal. However, the real star of the show was the food itself. The ramen was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles. Overall, I highly recommend Sansotei Ramen CityPlace for its quick service, affordable prices, and mouthwatering dishes.

Ordered delivery. Felt scammed. The noodles arrived as a solidified brick and the portions are so small. Very thinly sliced bits of pork belly that are falling apart and not even full slices! The broth is more watery than rich like ramen is supposed to be. Paid $2 for extra mushrooms and they still skimped on them. I will never order from this place again. This ranks top 3 worst take out orders I've ever had and worst ramen by far. It is akin to food court and cafeteria food.

The ramen was good and the soup base is rich. I like the way they did the eggs for the ramen which tastes really good. Price is reasonable for the quality of the food they served. The downside is that I felt the portion was slightly less than I expected. The mango cheese cake was okay, though I thought the mango taste should have been stronger that would make the cheesecake better. The texture of the cake was good though. But the size of the cheesecake was smaller than I expected as well. Service is good and the staff were friendly too.
