Sankalp The Taste Of India

We visited this place for New Year’s lunch, and while the food was good, the wait times were excessive. We waited nearly an hour just for the soup and another hour for the main course. It was quite upsetting, especially when you’re starving and have traveled from afar. That said, I could see the staff working tirelessly and doing their best under pressure. It seems like a management issue more than anything else. However, as customers, we also need to be mindful, especially on New Year’s Eve when long waits are almost inevitable. To their credit, the staff apologized multiple times and offered complimentary gulab jamuns and ghee idlis for my baby, which showed that they genuinely cared about their customers. Despite their exhaustion, they made efforts to address concerns, which I really appreciated. Overall, while the wait was frustrating, their gestures and hard work left a positive impression.😊

The food was absolutely fantastic! I opted for the Chole Bhature and Pav Bhaji, and barrel dosa, and all dishes were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. The Chole were delicious, but the portion size felt a bit small, especially considering the two large Bhaturas that accompanied it. I would have appreciated a slightly larger serving of Chole to better balance the dish. The atmosphere at the restaurant was also quite charming. The interior decor was lovely and created a warm and inviting ambiance.

Today, we visited Sankalp- Scarborough!! We had a great time enjoying music, food and atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We really liked Mysore dosa and special tomatoes Masala uttapam.

We went for a quick brunch but ended up eating their daily lunch thali for just 13.99 (North Indian and South Indian) Himanshu was very kind and helpful. Great service and would definitely go again for other dishes on their menu.

I really loved the decoration and the overall vibe of the place. The waiter staff were incredibly helpful and attentive; they responded immediately whenever I called, which I appreciated the most. 🙌 One standout dish was the brownie with ice cream—absolutely delicious! 🍫🍨 I’d definitely recommend trying it. However, the rest of the food was just okay, not great but not terrible either. 🤷‍♂️ Also, the atmosphere was made even better by the excellent choice of songs they were playing. 🎶🎵 It added a nice touch and made the experience more enjoyable. Overall, a 7/10 experience. Great atmosphere, music, and service, but the food could use improvement.

We visited Sankalp this week and had quite a good experience. The food we ordered was tasty and delicious. Found the veg. Dewani handi is a bit spicy but nonetheless, it was pretty good. They would adjust the spice level according to your taste. You can also find no garlic and no onion options on certain foods. The staff is kind and esp. Nikunj (who served us) is nice and very friendly, made sure we liked what we ordered, and provided prompt service. Found the price a bit higher for certain food items compared to the quantity but for the rest of the items, it was pretty reasonable. The restaurant is clean and well-kept. The environment was pleasant and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

If you’re looking for a good clean vegetarian restaurant with a nice ambiance then Sankalp should be on your list. Staff is great, place is clean, great selection of dishes. Taste is great but my only complain would be that Indo-Chini Sizzler wasn’t sizzling when brought over our table 😐. But again taste was amazing. Highly recommended!
