Samrat Indian Cuisine

This restaurant is so cozy and I love the decor, especially the tables, they are beautiful! I got the lunch special with butter chicken and it was amazing butter chicken. It came in a thali and it was super fancy, naan was perfect balance between soft and crispy, delicious and unique raita, rice were soft and fluffy, and gulab jamun was the right amount of sweet with a hint of rose and lychee. Server was really sweet, helpful and attentive. Food tasted really fresh. Everything was 5/5!😊 I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be dropping by for dinner with friends next.

Tried your food last night on UberEats, Butter Chicken and Lamb with butter sauce. Both delicious and rich in flavour. Super tender meat, and spicy enough for my liking too. I find it a tad bit saltier than I am used to but otherwise no complaints.

I come pick up Uber order at front desk, the cook take himself 2 mins to come out. I believe he only has one and only one order which is the one I’m going to pick up, because no one in the restaurant. I ask him can I pick up my Uber order? He say go to the back door. I’m like I’m already here. He said “No, go to the back door”. Anyway, I look up to the address they provided, it’s a 6 mins drive on two one-ways. Alright, nothing to complain. I drive to the place, it actually just 10meters away from the front door. And the same guy pass me the food with a “ haha, you idiot!”smile. Okay! You nailed it. Such a nice place for order pick up! I hope my guy enjoy his lunch!

3/4 of the container is rice which kinda sucks for 18 bucks. Also the starter platter was 2 small chicken pakora strips, 1 samosa and 3 onion bhajis

Cute little fare on College street, conveniently located steps from many TTC stops. I liked the ambiance and had a quick chat with the owner Ankit, he was very sweet and offered me free samosas on the house. I got the butter chicken curry for takeout and it was delicious! Even got a little hand written note on the takeout bag. Overall, a nice indeed addition to the Little Italy neighborhood. Will definitely be visiting again!

This chicken biriyani and lamb dish were incredible 😍 Went to dine in with friends and loved the service and atmosphere. So kind and caring! The portions were huge as well, and a great price for the size and quality of the food. I will make sure to dine here frequently. Thank you! 😋😋😋

I had a delightful experience at Samrat restaurant! From appetizers to dessert, every dish was delicious. We ordered from Uber Eats and no driver was getting assigned and our food was ready since 20 minutes. So the restaurant called us and told us to reorder. The owner was so polite and kept apologizing (even though it was not his fault). He sent us a very sweet note with our order and an entire garlic naan for free! The food was tasty and amazing. A must try if you are craving Indian food. It is reasonably priced. We will definitely be visiting the restaurant next time! Thank you so much.
