I visited Samosa King on Dec 27, 2024, at 4:30 PM with my family and had a very disappointing experience with the counter person, Minhaz. I purchased half a pound of sweet wet Bundi, 3 samosas, and 3 wada. By the time the wet Bundi was packed and I reached the counter, the paper bag was completely soaked. I requested a replacement bag, explaining the situation, but Minhaz refused, saying I had to pay 5 cents for another bag. He rudely added that customers should bring their own bags when purchasing snacks. I tried explaining that the wet Bundi made the bag unusable and that it was their responsibility to ensure proper packaging, but he didn’t listen. Instead, he argued with me and showed zero understanding or empathy. Despite my repeated requests, he stood firm on not providing a proper bag without additional payment. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in a customer-facing role. The lack of basic courtesy and empathy made the experience frustrating and unpleasant. Owners, please take action to train your staff in customer service and ensure they treat customers respectfully. Such poor behavior can tarnish your reputation and drive customers away. Every business needs satisfied customers to thrive.

An OG Scarborough gem that has been around for a very long time. My family and I’ve only ever gotten the samosa from here, but they’ve always been stellar, especially considering the value you get without breaking the wallet. Great for buying samosas in bulk for parties and/or family gatherings.

I’m convinced some of these 1 star reviews are fake because we just ordered from here for the first time and it was incredible. It was 3 samosas for $1 and they were decently sized. Not only that, they are so delicious!! There was a good amount of potato and pea filling and the pastry dough was perfectly crispy. The sauces are also very tasty. We live quite a ways away from here but will be coming back whenever we’re in the area!

My dad brought samosas from this place yesterday, I was taking out the potato filling because I don’t like to eat potatoes and I found a staple in the centre. I would’ve ate it and be seriously hurt. Please be careful while purchasing and eating food at this place especially kids.

Be ready to wait around 30 minutes most of the time. However, sweets around $10, a pound makes it up. Not a big fan of food, but sweets were amazing.

Samosa King offers good sweets and food, but their samosas were a letdown for me. They lacked the expected flavor and didn’t quite hit the mark. However, the rest of the menu makes up for it with tasty options that are worth trying.

I had a very bad experience with Samosa King and encountered the worst customer service. I ordered a half pound of cauliflower pakora, and it was incredibly disappointing. There were literally only four pieces of cauliflower in the entire order; the rest was just fried flour. This made the dish feel extremely overpriced and not at all worth it. As a regular customer, today's issue was especially irritating. The lack of quality and poor service have made me reconsider returning. I hope Samosa King addresses these problems to avoid disappointing other loyal customers.
