Hadn't been here for years but will definitely return. Ashly was an exceptional server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I love great service. I had ordered avocado toast, thinking it was just avocado toast (the menu listed additional things it had on it below the price, which I didn't think came on it). When it arrived with all the fixings (which I couldn't eat), my family told Ashly I was vegan, and without hesitation, she went and brought me a plain avocado toast. I asked her to charge me for 2, but she didn't! The restaurant definitely didn't need to do that, but I appreciate it and will definitely return. The avocado toast was delicious and I'm sure many others would have enjoyed it how it usually came served, as well. Love when restaurants are inclusive and I can join in on breakfast, too!

Just had an amazing experience at Sammy's. The people make you so welcome at the place, and the service is excellent. Truly feels like entering a family home for you meals! Staff is so friendly, so nice! We literally were spoilt for choice. Based on our lunch feels for the day, we were recommended a few things and we loved our meals. Also, these guys are so generous with their portions. Happily stuffed and left with big smiles! We tried the lunch menu today (highly recommend the moussaka!) and we will be going back soon to try their breakfast!

Very much what you would consider to be a classic family restaurant in decor, service and menu. You feel like nothing has changed in 20-30 years at this place. Food was decent and portion size fair. Service was excellent and friendly. Prices are fair. Closes pretty early, but I suspect that has more to do with the average age of the guests. There's not much to say about this place other than it's a solid unpretentious restaurant.

Lovely diner with good tasting and affordable food. Lots of choices in the menu that I would definitely try whenever I have to visit the Hospital nearby.

Food and service was very good. Good portion and very accommodating staff, i would recommend!!! The only downfall I would say is the New York Steak could be better. Thanks Ashley and lin

Super cute Mom & Pop restaurant! Our server was excellent! Food came out fast and hot! A huge plus for me was the tea pots are large, not those minis you get everywhere else! Portions were great. Booths are private. Washrooms are downstairs so be aware, anyone with mobility issues. This was not my first visit and it wont be my last!

January 2023 update: In spite of a recent accident that saw a car plow into the front window of the restaurant, it’s business as usual. Our party enjoyed Fish and Chips, and Hot Hamburger with fries as well as with Mashed Potato. And also, fine service. Truly a family restaurant. ( we don’t live in Scarborough but this is the spot we choose to have lunch at when we visit ). Great family restaurant. Haven’t been for a couple of years, and our first inside-dining in a long while. Premises and washrooms clean, and our server was pleasant and prompt. Nice to have a clubhouse again, and my wife enjoyed her moussaka and Greek salad.
