Sammy's Ancaster

The ambiance was great and very clean all around. The staff were good as well. The food was not worth the price I’d say. It was quite bland and had little flavour. I probably wouldn’t recommend this place for the price. EDIT: I appreciate you getting back to me and sharing the process of your cooking/menu. You mentioned that I would prefer an “Asian” breakfast place - not sure what you’re implying. If you’re implying that “Asian” folks shouldn’t dine at your establishment then that’s a separate issue. I’ve been to many “egg and bacon” spots and yet they don’t add Turmeric to my food and it still tastes delicious. I can justify spending my money there. I was looking forward to trying your restaurant as I like to support local however it’s unfortunate that you are unable to take constructive criticism and chalk up my opinion to being “Asian”. That’s a loaded assumption and frankly pretty disappointing.

Amazing restaurant with great food. We tried the eggs Benedict florentine it was made to perfection. Our waiter was very accomodating and the service in general was top notch. A hidden gem in Ancaster. We will be coming again

Old location was much better. New one feels just like every corporate breakfast chain in town. The food was all served cold and overcooked. Clearly over prepped and reheating stuff that's been sitting for a while. Update to owner response: Server was nice but he didn't come by the table for over 15 minutes after food was dropped off. Had no way of telling him it was cold since I never saw him walk by. I encourage people to try it out, but I stand by the fact that this is my 2nd poor experience since they moved and I think it used to be a better spot.

Saturday Breakfast with my Sister. Sammy’s relocated to the Walmart plaza. Their new facility is accessible. Good job. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown potatoes (those could have been better), rye toast. Bottomless coffee all for $47 includes 18% tip. Server was welcoming and attentive.

Sammy’s has a new location. We never tried the original location but we had to try this new one. First time customers. We loved this place. Bright, clean, open and fast friendly servers. We ordered corned beef on rye and clubhouse on rye. Both were served up quick with great coffee. Can’t think of any downside of Sammy’s. We will return for sure.

Found this restaurant while on Instagram and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It's about 30 mins from home but we wanted to try a new breakfast place. It was my daughter's birthday and she said she wanted to check it out too. We arrived shortly after 11 and the place was busy. Waited a few minutes to get a table and was greeted my the owners mother. Very pleasant. I decided I wanted lunch rather than breakfast and the waitress was nice about it. My husband ordered the meat lovers skillet, he said it was ok. He couldn't really taste the meat, it was chopped up too small and not a lot was in it. But he ate it. My daughter and I ordered the turkey club, very good. The only thing was there was no pickle on the side which I thought would go nicely with the sandwich. All in all, we enjoyed everything. If and when we go back, my husband can try another dish which I'm sure he will enjoy. I did notice a lot of regulars were coming and going as all of them greeted the mom of the place, who was the original owner. Check them out. Keep in mind, they are only opened from 8 to 4. Way to go! If you can afford to keep those hours, they are doing something right. Congratulations on your new location.

Walking in there are photos of their plates , chalkboard wall is my favourite! We were promptly greeted with hellos and smiles. Seated quickly and coffee tea and juice were served right away. We then ordered moments later …. Our food came out fast , hot and delicious. The Eggs Benedict is mouthwatering and filling. We also ordered the Hungry Man or Woman as our cheerful server called it 😁 and a House Special. Both were full plates to fill you up plus some. The potatoes have changed but I like the new ones and our daughter likes the old ones ….. so no complaints…. She still gobbled hers up ! Everyone was friendly , always checking to refill coffee and a check in on our meal. We will definitely keep coming here for our breakfast out treat. Thank you for making everyone feel at home ❤️
