Maravilhoso! I was looking for a brazilian restaurant cause I was missing some good sunday pastel, so I decided to go to Samba after a recommendation from a friend of a friend - I’m glad for the rec. The place is so cute and the decor is very charming, I felt very comfortable with such a good and nice service. Food is authentic, the pastel tasted exactly like it is in Brazil, and the same goes for the brigadeiro. I’ll get in the chain and also recommend this place to anyone :)

Samba Brazil Eatery - sempre beleza no meu coração (always beauty in my heart). I had discovered this special place on an overcast day in June on my first exploration of Yonge Street this summer. Located just south of Yonge & Eglinton, Samba Brazil Eatery shone forth in the radiant colours of Brazil's flag: yellow and green (with some blue for good measure). This is where I tasted my first "pastel" - a popular Brazilian street-food: rectangle-shaped, thin, crispy, savoury pies filled with assorted goodness (meat, cheese, herbs, etc.). Longing to return, on my second trek up Yonge Street, I danced on in and ordered the "Jerky Beef" pastel/pastry - Brazilian-style Jerk Beef with cassava and onions. The staff, as always, was full of sunshine and cheer. The staff member suggested to add an extra helping of "Requeijão caseiro" - a liquidy ricotta/cream-cheese - to the pastel/pastry. This added a very desirable element of creaminess to the flaky tenderness of the meat. Beleza com certeza! The atmosphere was authentic. With the arrival of a couple of families, seating was at a premium and became a very cozy carnival - the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese filling the shop and patio table outside. As the words of my favourite song best describe: Não dá pra esconder, o que eu sinto por você, Samba ... Só sei que o Samba Brazil é bom demais... (I can't hide how I feel about you, Samba ... All I know is that Samba Brazil Eatery is too good...)

The service was friendly... I ordered the Bacalhau Da Casa pastel. It was incredible. The pastry was light and chewy (good things , IMO). The cod was delicious. I only wish there was more filling... I would have liked the option to pay for more.

It's a tiny cozy place but the food is amazing, only exceeded by the warm and friendly staff, Livia is simply awesome! it was a wonderful surprise to have reasonably priced Brazilian street food right in my own 'hood, my go-to pastel is the classic meat & cheese, you got to try it with the vinaigrette and Brazilian soft drink Guarana, also available Zero sugar. You will be back for more!

the pastry was very delicious, loved the flakiness and crispy exterior. not enough filling for me however... felt like only 1/4 of the actual pastry had any of the filling in it. delicious nonetheless, but definitely wish it had more filling.

Best Brazilian pastry in Toronto. I tried creamy shrimp and beef and cheese savory pastries. They were godsend! So yummy 😋 Perfect snack! Nice vibe as well. I’m hooked now. Yes! Highly recommend this place.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Got some takeout from here yesterday. It was just okay. Expected more cheese in the filling as shown in some of the pictures but it didn't turn out that way. The crust was way too oily, probably all the pockets needed a good pat down after frying. They did keep my order nice and hot which was good.

The most unanimously Brasizilian street food or snack you should try. There are several vegetarian options. Don't forget to ask Guaraná for a drink I bet you won't regret it. I hope it can grow for a bigger place in the neighborhood.
