I really like it here but have been put off a few times. 1. I saw a sign in the building that said free coffee with the purchase of a breakfast item and when I asked they said the sign was old and that promo isn’t available and they’ve asked the building to take it down. They didn’t honour it. It’s okay second cup is right next door. 2. I asked for extra peanut sauce and one time the girl did it no charge and the second time it was $1.50 extra and I was charged for a topping which I feel like it was a bit excessive since it’s a sauce. Not extra apple or banana. It’s little things like this that put me off of places. Customer service is everything.

Easily one of the best stores I have ever been to; the salad was very fresh and delicious, they have a wide selection of dressings that goes well with the salads and a lot of other options like sandwiches, wraps and smoothies as well, the staff was very friendly too. Overall, I loved the store and I will definitely return.

I got a standard breakfast sandwich (cheddar, bacon, eggs), and cappuccino. My wife got a salad sandwich. It was our first time at this place. The cappuccino was good, and the service was also good . The food, on the other hand, was below our expectations. We miss flavour on the whole thing. It tasted almost like something synthetic, to be honest. Not planning to visit this place again anytime soon.

After having a delivery order mishap last month, the lovely managers of the Bay St location requested a second chance and we gave them a 42-bowl order for our office’s weekly lunch. The level of service was top notch, and they taped the lids to ensure no spillage, and even provided some complimentary vegan cookies, which were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and well put together. We will definitely order lunch catering from them again. Thank you Melanie and David for making this order a success.

Tasty salads and great portions! Highly recommend Salus. I’m usually not a fan of salads but after having a box from Salus, I’m a huge fan! The dressings are made in house and everything is fresh. Great variety vegetables to choose from. The staff is also really friendly and super helpful! I also love the fact that they offer gluten free and vegan options as I have an extremely sensitive stomach and used to taking TUMS when eating out.

I would consider myself a bit of a "foodie" when it comes to Toronto's quick-service, health-centric restaurants. I've tried them all. My biggest issue with these restaurants in the past was that you could never seem to hit on all three of the following: - Quality ingredients - Good portion sizes - Good value More often than not I would find that I was choosing two (and sometimes just one) of the above. This all changed when I found Salus. The proteins are very high quality, the veggies are incredibly fresh and the portion sizes ensure that I'm never hunting around for a protein bar 30 minutes after lunch. Best of all, the price is extremely reasonable. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is kept clean and the line moves fast. I first went to Salus months ago and have waited to try it on numerous occasions before writing a review. Too often with these restaurants I will be let down after an initial visit that was promising. Each time I have been to Salus, the food has been amazing and consistent. The owner has done a great job and I would encourage him to look into more locations (maybe further south downtown and closer to my work LOL!) so that I can go more often. I have attached a picture of the custom box that I usually order. Some other favourites of mine are the Romaine Calm salad and the chia pudding (which makes for a great snack). Greg

Salus is Toronto's one and only fresh salad bars. Nothing like this place... Their salad options are the freshest by far that I've come across. Having the option to make a custom salad, wrap or box is genius, since I've found this place, I come back every day. Friendly staff who are actually passionate about food makes the experience way more inviting then most. Highly recommend you visit Salus.

Salus, as in the Roman goddess of safety, salvation and welfare, is owned and operated by Adam who shows his love of healthy food & living by the fresh and tasteful dishes he prepares in front of you counter side now a mere 3 weeks into his opening day. Limited seating with 6 stools, half facing Carlton and half a beautiful decorative wall. Proteins range from chicken, steak and salmon with various veggies and base such as brown rice. I ordered the regular size box with Quinoa, chicken and shrimp. It came fully loaded with my choice of wasabi dressing and was ample for a meal. Fair price of $11.97 before tax. The shrimps certainly did not disappoint. A variety of chilled drinks such as bottled Canteen coffee, Evian water, etc and house made veggie or fruit shakes are available. Easy street level access for mobility impaired. UPDATE: A return visit for the steak. Individually cooked to your liking (medium rare for me) with blue cheese. It'll knock your socks off. If you wear socks that is. The beef is marinated for 24 hours btw.
