I have loved Salad King since 2006 in grad school. I'm so glad they expanded to Queen West. This location is relaxed and just as wonderfully staffed. Curry is an excellent portion. Flavour always consistently delicious.

I try a lot of Thai food and this unfortunately was not it. Reminded me maybe of thairoomgrand? Liquidy and unflavoured fried rice, and a couple pieces of shrimp I just had to eat not to feel so bad spending over 30 dollars on a single lunch. Advertised as big portions… but probably was the smallest portion I’ve ever had anywhere for the price lol. The drink was decent, atmosphere was decent and the waiter was very nice. Unfortunately bottom of the list so far. Downtown picks are usually koh lipe, khao san road, or for mainstream - Pai

Nice drinks and the recommended Bangkok stir fry noodles were tasty. The mango salad was different than what we were expecting/used to… it had chunks of carrots and tomato and was covered in sweet yellow sauce almost like mango syrup (?). Thai noodle soup was essentially chicken noodle soup, it wasn’t bad but very bland. Portions are generous. Wait staff was friendly and the establishment was extremely clean.

Delicious place for Thai food! Iced tea, Islamic noodles, & the signature crispy beef penang were all excellent! Quick service and plenty of seating. Didn't need to wait around 12 ish on a Sunday even for a big group of 8!

We got lunch combos (you choose a main and a side with a drink for 6 more dollars) We got the phud that with shrimp and spring rolls on the side as well as the chili coconut beef (spice level 2 chilis) with wonton soup. The food is pretty good but remember our thai cuisine scene in Toronto is absolutely impressive and competitive. You definitely get good portions and amazing service so definitely give this place a try! Also 20% off is offered to students between 2pm-5pm. Definitely coming back!

We went for lunch here in Salad King in Queen St. during TIFF. First time to try this location. The food is tasty and service is good. I ordered the Tom yum soup, Chili coconut beef stew and the Thai lettuce wrap. We enjoyed our lunch and will have to try other dishes next time.

The food is alright, but I was hoping for a taste closer to authentic Thai cuisine. I had high expectations for the Mango Salad based on my friends' recommendations, but it turned out to be below average for me, as was the rest of the food. But the Garlic Shrimps were excellent! They're a flavor bomb; I'd revisit just for them. Overall, the place offers good service and a pleasant atmosphere, with reasonably priced menu items.
