A classic spot for Vietnamese & Thai cuisine! As a curry lover, I’m obsessed with their famous House Specialty Curry Crab. The curry is uniquely seasoned with black pepper, giving it a rich, flavorful kick. The crab is huge, and absolutely divine when paired with their roti. The Mixed Veggies Hot Pot is another great pick—a refreshing and light dish that perfectly complements the bold flavors of the curry. Highly recommend this place for an unforgettable meal!

It’s not the best Vietnamese restaurant for sure, but somehow it’s alluring for us to be there every time in town, especially for the steamed oysters.

Timeless Curry Crab at Saigon Star. 西贡星 in Richmond Hill never fails to impress, especially with their sautéed curry crab (咖喱炒蟹). This dish is a must-have—no matter how many years pass, you’ll still find yourself loving it just as much as the first time. The crab is fresh, the curry sauce is rich and flavorful, and every bite is simply unforgettable. It’s a true classic that keeps us coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great seafood and authentic flavors!

Relaxed atmosphere. Get a booth seat. The staff are helpful with their explanations and prompt service. Good food. It's been a staple in the area. We got curry and also a cutlet. The fried rice is really nice and take the sauce home to continue to marinate.

First time coming here. Glad we did. Service was awesome and attentive. The food was amazing 😍 there was nothing we didn't like from the multitude of dishes our table of 8 ordered. Will definitely try out the signature curry crab and bun bo hue next time. Theres a combo special as well for soup, app and drink. Prices were wayy decent for the amount of food and how good it was. They even threw in free red bean dessert for us at the end. 10/10 would definitely recommend. It's our go to pho place now.

The curry crab was pretty tasty. Lots of time other places make curry either too spicy or too sweet. Curry here is very fragrant with a slight hint of coconut flavour, yet not too overpowering. The baguette is a must with the curry crab. Very crispy outside and super soft inside. We had 3 of them! The Hainanese chicken can be passed. The rice was not super fresh. It’s already crusted up. Could have been made the night before. The soup was pho soup instead of chicken broth. And it’s missing the all important chili sauce. Also had anchovy eggplant and it was pretty good as well.

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. Their famous curry crab was divine, took leftover curry sauce which is coconut based..to relish it the next day :) All the other dishes was done right. The service is extremely friendly.. overall experience : wonderful!! The dining area is little bit cramped.
