The absolute worst service from the chef that I received. My husband and I went for dinner on Nov 17/2024 and I ordered carne alentejana and the pork came absolutely horrible. The meat was rubbery and had a very off taste. I had 2 pieces to make sure it wasn’t just the first piece I had and I even asked my husband to have a piece to make sure that it wasn’t just me. I asked the server to please take it back and maybe refry the meat? She brought it back and it was worse than what came. At that point my stomach was feeling sensitive and I was not feeling well from eating the first pieces and I sent it back because now I wasn’t feeling well to eat. At the end of our meal I was charged $27.00 for a meal that I didn’t even eat. The chef comes outside yelling at me saying that the food is good for her. I simply let her know that although the food is good for her, it is NOT good for me. Then to make me upset, the server asked if I wanted to take the food home? But why would I want to take the food home if it literally was not made well and made me feel sick from being undercooked. I am very disappointed in this service and I’ve been going here with positive reviews for years. Never again will I go or bring my family. BEWARE Edit from the extra note: the review is NOT about whether I paid or not. I received HORRIBLE service and I should have never been charged IN THE FIRST PLACE. your chef is RUDE and she yelled at me and my husband for food that was not good and I did not eat. Very ignorant of you to bypass my whole review and make it about money.

The food definitely had flavor, and the steak was cooked great. I was super disappointed with the portion of cod fish we received. 3 of us ordered the bacalhau frito (fried codfish), and 2 of us received the part of the cod fish that the majority of it was fish bones. I understand if there was 6-7 people requesting that same dish, then yes 2 people would be getting that portion, but giving that portion to 2 out of the 3 people is not acceptable.

Very fortunate to have stepped into Sabores Tradicionais after passing on another resto with an empty patio but two dudes smoking.. Well portioned cod with real garlic hand cut. Hand cut fries with the steak +egg. This was real traditional home cooking!

Service: The waitress we had was super dry. We asked if she had any recommendations, she said “no” bluntly and then back tracked afterwards. They had some specials of the day – one of them was octopus. When we asked how much it was – she told my friend and I to look for the price on the menu. We did that but it didn’t seem to be listed on the menu, so we ended up ordering something else. Food: The mains we got were around $25 - $30 each. My friend got grilled fish (with rice) and I got grilled squid (which came with vegetables). Portions were fair. The dishes themselves were simple but tasty. One gripe is that they would not let us get tap water, so my friend and I ordered a large bottle of water to share ($5). I guess that’s fine, but I’ve never been to a restaurant in Toronto where they refuse to give you tap water in a glass (especially if you are ordering food there). Overall: Would I return? Probably not. I did enjoy the style of food, but other aspects of the experience weren’t quite right for me. Next time I’m craving Portuguese food, I think I would rather try my luck elsewhere in the city.

Best place to eat Portuguese food! The portions is huge and the home made bread is amazing. My favorite is the Francesinha and tha Polvo a Lagareiro.

I’m so Glad my friend bring me to this Restaurant to celebrate the farewell Lunch. Huge portions, the Best wine Brands from Portugal and the food is delicious! This Francesinha is yummy!! And the bread is so fresh!! 100% guarantee I’ll coming back soon! And I’ll recommend to my friends.
