It's not bad. It's not great. Don't let them get you on selling fizzy water unless that is what you want. When they ask you if you want sparkling or still as soon as you sit down, but don't tell you they're charging for the sparkling water. Tempura is plentiful but lacks seasoning. Portions are not bad. I might return but consider the "real Japanese" Izakayas in the area.

Love the wagu taco, creamy Uni udon, and steak katsu. The rolls are great. Not much choice on the premium sashimi platter. Good service overall. Will go back again.

Food is great. The flavors of each ingredient is strong without overpowering eachother. It's definitely better to come in a group as it is a tapas place to share all the food.

Hands down one of the best izakaya in Richmond ! The servers are energetic and attentive. Drinks are very well made and priced. I really enjoy the flavors of all the food, they have really nailed that down. My only regret is I couldn’t order more, will definitely come back with a larger group. Highly recommend

We came here for lunch on a weekday. Around 12:15, we were the only table. Then people started coming in around 1pm. But the place was not full. The lunch sets were of good value. It’s a good place to chat and sit for longer time on a weekday. I think it would be quite packed in the evening.

Looking for an Izakaya place uptown that closes slightly later at night? This is it. Got to try out this place as I got back into town close to midnight, and most other places were already closing up. They have roomy booths and a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed their dishes, but keep in mind the sushi bar does close earlier so the menu shrinks a bit later at night. Service was great, would definitely return when I’ve got late night cravings!

Great Izakaya with a giant menu and plenty of space. We reserved in advance and got a huge booth for the 4 of us. The food was tasty and the portions quite generous (especially the fries). I especially liked their rolls, scallop carpaccio, karaage, and pasta. The place wasn't busy so we were able to hang out beyond the seating limit and got a free dessert too for my birthday. All around a good time!
