Was excited that Rudy opened in the neighborhood as I have been a big fan of their poutine from other locations. Ordered the large poutine here - it tasted really good - but really disappointed in the portion size. It was hardly a large and about half the size of the large poutine at their other locations. I won't be coming back to this location until they fix this.

A little pricy but great food and friendly service! Right away was greeted with a hello and how do ya do by the server at the cash. Ordered a Rudy burger with a small poutine and wasn't going to get a drink but was told it was included so that was a plus! Only waited about 5 minutes and the server brought my to go bag up to my table I was waiting at. Very pleasant experience and one of the best poutines I've ever had! Smash burger was good and crispy but not dry, could have used a touch more sauce for my liking but nonetheless was impressed with my first visit and definitely recommend for anyone who wants a better burger!

Location and Ambiance: Situated in the upscale Yonge and Lawrence area, this Rudy location benefits from a slightly quieter ambiance compared to its downtown counterparts. The interior maintains the chain's signature modern, edgy look with industrial touches, but here it feels more polished, perhaps catering to the neighborhood's demographic. Menu and Cuisine: The menu at this Rudy location mirrors the offerings found across their chain, with a focus on: - Burgers: The Rudy burger continues to be the highlight, appreciated for its delicious patty and the way it's smashed to perfection, giving it that crispy yet juicy texture. Variants like the Rude Dude, a double cheeseburger, and the Valentino chicken sandwich also receive praise for their taste and quality. - Sides: The sides here, like the fries and pickle chips, are noted for their consistency and flavor, with the fries often described as the perfect companion to their burgers. - Shakes: Milkshakes remain a sweet treat, offering a nice counterbalance to the savory burgers. Service: Service at the Yonge and Lawrence Rudy tends to be more consistent than some of the busier downtown locations. Staff are generally friendly and attentive, although like any high-traffic place, there can be waits during peak times. The service here has been described as more personalized, possibly due to the less hectic environment. Unique Features: - Neighborhood Feel: This location feels more integrated into the community, which can be seen in how regulars are greeted and the slightly more relaxed pace of the dining experience. - Quality Consistency: There seems to be a concerted effort to maintain high food quality standards, perhaps because of the area's demographic expecting a certain level of dining experience. Criticisms: - Price Point: While the quality justifies the cost for many, some diners still comment on the price being on the higher end for what you get, particularly for those accustomed to more budget-friendly burger joints. Overall Experience: Rudy at Yonge and Lawrence offers a delightful burger experience with a few unique advantages due to its location: Pros: - High-quality smash burgers with consistent taste - Friendly and less rushed service - A more relaxed dining atmosphere Cons: - Prices might still be seen as somewhat steep by some Rating: Based on the collective feedback: - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 4/5 - Ambiance: 4/5 - Value: 3.5/5 In conclusion, Rudy at Yonge and Lawrence provides what many consider one of the best burger experiences in Toronto, enhanced by a more community-focused ambiance. It's well-suited for those looking to enjoy a high-quality burger in a setting that feels a bit more upscale and less frenetic than downtown locations. While the price might still give some pause, the overall quality and service tend to make it worth the visit.

I really liked the Rudy burger. The sauce was really tasty and the beef was fresh. The fries was very tasty too. Also, nice staff:)

I tried the Rudy burger it was dry and needed more sauce, also tried the Crudy Burger which was too greasy, and I ended up throwing out half of it. The poutine was watery, and the fries lacked flavor. However, the milkshake was good. 👍 The service and customer care were excellent
