Here’s my 8-year-old son’s review of the place: “It was great. The part that I loved the most was the service. The guy who gave us the food was very nice. And also the food was delicious.😃” I’ll add: the portions were big. Each entree would be enough for two people.

Went with my friends to have some hakka for first time in this restaurant, the welcoming atmosphere was really delightful. After having the dinner, I really had to give them this review cause the food was absolutely delicious. Their food portions were absolutely amazing and above all the “Shrimp Tom Yum soup” stood out to me the most. Definitely visiting again with my family and friend.

Lacklustre first impression but willing to try them again. There's a whole culinary style here that I have never tried before so I decided to make a visit. Staff were kind enough to explain the different dishes and I chose the Vegetable Manchurian Chow Mein; they were kind to add dry tofu at no additional cost. Unfortunately, the noodles tasted very plain, no dimension of flavour, spices, texture (wet ["gravy"] vs dry), etc. Given the many different dishes and styles, I will try the restaurant again but it's more of my curiosity to discover something new and different (and hopefully delicious) than my initial, lacklustre impression.

Disappointing First Visit with Family I recently visited this restaurant with my family for the first time, and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. While I was expecting a pleasant meal, the reality was far from it. The most glaring issue was the cleanliness, or rather, the lack thereof. The restaurant was filthy from top to bottom. The tables, seats, and floors all appeared as if they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The soy sauce and other condiments on the table were so dirty that we couldn't bring ourselves to use them. Even worse, the sides of the tables were coated in old, crusty food residue, which was extremely off-putting. The presence of flies buzzing around only added to the unsanitary conditions. Despite visiting on a weekend, when one would expect the place to be busy, the restaurant was eerily empty, with only my family present. Even with no other customers, the service was incredibly slow. This made the whole experience even more frustrating. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The quality was far below what I’ve come to expect from Hakka cuisine. There are many other Hakka Chinese restaurants in the area that offer far superior food, and I would strongly recommend exploring those options instead. Overall, this restaurant needs serious attention to both its cleanliness and food quality. Until those issues are addressed, I cannot recommend dining here.

This was such a nice restaurant, the food was soo delicious:)) The shrimp dish which we ordered was really tasty in particular. Our server was also really sweet and kind, I had a really good experience here.

If you're looking for authentic Hakka cuisine, Royal Garden is definitely worth checking out. I recently tried their food and was very impressed. The meal was ready for pickup within 15 minutes, and the food was hot, flavoursome, and served in substantial portions. The staff was friendly and kind, and were knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I highly recommend Royal Garden for an authentic Hakka dining experience. The quality of the food, generous portions, and attentive service make it a must-try.
