Royal Darbar- The Great Indian Kitchen

We had chicken biriyani and special gosh biriyani here. Food tasted good, however, nothing special than what an average Indian restaurant would serve. I would like to bring something to the attention of the owner/management of this restaurant. When our biryani was served, I noticed that the food server's thumb was dipped into the rice, which I found highly unappealing and inappropriate. I suggest either training the staff on how to properly hold the serving dish or using serving bowls with handles to avoid such incidents. I had to personally remove the portion of the food that the server's thumb had come into contact with.🤢😶 This incident occurred both times we were served chicken and lamb biriyani in black serving bowls.

Stumbled into a gem today, really good quality food with great flavour. The half tandoori chicken was a standout but the other dishes were perfectly spiced. Food came out quick (within 15 mins) as we were only ones here but could take a bit longer if they're crowded. Will be back.

The overall ambience is nice and very much Indian.. the cutlery though needs to change its a very low quality as compared to any restaurant… the food was good, Butter chicken needs more cream than tomatoes, the gravy was rich in flavours and chicken was cooked properly Biryani on the other hand was not Vijaywada special it felt like sweet and sour biryani.. it lacked the biryani aroma

Eat chicken biriyani a few days back there. It was an amazing and unique test. It was perfectly cooked and balanced with spices and chicken. I must recommend this place.

We went on a Saturday when it wasn't very busy, so there was plenty of space inside for dining. The atmosphere was nice, and the views from inside were good. We ordered chicken tikka biryani, butter naan, Andhra goat curry, and bhindi masala. The biryani was good, with large pieces of chicken—probably enough for two people. The butter naan and Andhra goat curry were both tasty as well.

Ordered from royal darbar for the first time but had a horrible experience with kadai paneer which was our main dish as we had some naans and masala dum rice on the side. We specifically asked for mild medium spicy as the spice level on the app and it was so spicy that we were sweating and feeling uneasy. It was the first and last time for us. I called the restaurant and they said that instructions didn’t show up for them so they made it medium spicy by default. We have an indian taste palate so we understand what medium spicy feels like but this was something else. Not coming back here!

Owner has detailed so much on Google that our personal visit has derailed most things highlighted. Visited on this Saturday evening and were the only customers till departure so hoped for a well cooked meal. Ordered ghee dosa cooked well but sambhar and coconut chutney didn't go well wiyh dosa. Two paneer subji both fresh and tasty but gravy was too much and liquid in state. Naan and tandoori roti were most deterrent as in photos showing the actuals served. Hope this is a one time happening and both owner and chef makes a note to ensure such things are not repeated. Our expectations not met specially in rotis and gravy portion. Maybe veg options are limited. Try your turn if around and take a chance.

The reallll deal . Taste, on point. Serving size, decent. Quality, 👌👌 If you passing by it’s worth a try. But if sensitive to spice keep on trucking’ my guy.
