We went here for a friend's birthday. I had a western sandwich. I've grown up on these and had them at many many different kinds of places. It was DRY!!!!!! Man was it dry. Food is mediocre at best. Very bland etc. Wouldn't come back. I've had better. I notice a ton of 5 star reviews....which makes me suspicious because it is NOT 5 star......

We loved checking out this tiny diner! I thought it was amazing retro vibes- it wills also be perfect to use in a movie for the local hangout, it has great design. The staff were busy but attentive. I had a turkey club that REALLY hit the spot. My friends slay really liked their 401 club. The only thing I didn’t love was their in house bread pudding. Sadly! I was all ready to love it but it just tasted off to me. However all the pricing was fair and it’s worth trying it for yourself! Great coffee as well. i don’t know if this is a weird thought but I think my dad might love this place and its vintage Americana so I hope to return with him one day!

Absolutely lovin’ this Diner 😎 Hungry Man’s Breakfast + 401 Route Burger; ->Is what ordered + their Iced-Tea. *quick tip* if you order those 2 items together, you can add american style bacon to your burger, making taste even better! … Not to mention, the atmosphere & the music in here, wow! #TorontoNeedsMoreCoolJointsLikeThis ❤️

A Nostalgic Trip to Route 401 Diner: A Delightful Experience Stepping into Route 401 Diner is like taking a joyful leap back in time to the vibrant days of the 60s and 70s. The ambiance is spot-on, with classic diner decor that makes you feel like you’ve just walked onto the set of a retro movie. The oldies playing in the background only add to the charm, creating a soundtrack that perfectly complements the setting. Now, let's talk about the food—because what’s a diner experience without some good old comfort food? The Greek Feta Omelette was a standout. Packed with fresh, tangy feta and cooked to perfection, it was the kind of breakfast that makes you want to linger over every bite. And then there was the schnitzel sandwich—a delightful surprise that was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and absolutely delicious. It’s hearty, flavorful, and everything you could want from a diner classic. The service? Quick and efficient. The staff was friendly, making sure that even during busy times, we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. In short, Route 401 Diner isn’t just a place to grab a bite; it’s an experience. Whether you’re there for the nostalgic vibes or the tasty comfort food, you’re bound to leave with a smile on your face—and maybe a new favorite dish. Can’t wait to go back!

We were lucky to find this gem for breakfast via Google maps. Nowadays it's hard to find an independent breakfast restaurant around the GTA after all those franchise places. We were impressed by three things. - The place, nice retro-inspired environment, clean and plenty of parking. - The service, all staff was polite, smiley, and good service, - The food was a classic breakfast but we saw how, an independent place, gives much more in quality and taste. Food was fresh and not too greasy. We'll come back to enjoy the experience again.

A literal hole-in-the-wall joint that I stumbled upon looking for a breakfast diner in the area. I am beyond ecstatic that I found this hidden gem, and will definitely come back for breakfast or brunch to try out more dishes. The establishment is the definition of a neighbourhood diner, brandishing their pop culture memorabilias and nostalgic aesthetic. But that's not the only thing they got right, cause the food definitely screams home-cooked meal and taste like your favorite comfort foods. They offer a menu with all your favourite breakfast and brunch options, that you can customize to your liking. Workers are super friendly and attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. Overall an amazing experience visiting this location.

Wanted a breakfast place close to airport-one friend flying in for a celebration of life in Brampton and our other friend living in Etobicoke wanted to surprise her. The location was perfect and food/atmosphere was great. Lucia our server was great and let us chat and catch up. We enjoyed our breakfast and vibe. Restaurant was constantly busy from when we arrived after 09:15-11:00!
