Riyasat Indian Restaurant & Bar - Vaughan

This is my best new year start. I had the most wonderful dining experience at Riyasat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The Smokey spices chicken tikka was tender and packed with smoky, spiced goodness, while the chicken lollipops were an absolute treat—perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. The dhaba style chicken with tawa roti was a standout—perfectly cooked and seasoned. It’s clear that the team takes pride in their work, and it shows in every detail. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal. With foodgasm I absolutely forgot to take pictures for other dishes. Great food. This is a definite recommend and revisit restaurant in Vaughan. For me, the first time ever- before the food was served, I was served gravy to confirm the spicy level of the dishes being cooked. The food was less spicy to my taste still it has been the finest yet in GTA. Quantity was good as well.

I visited here twice and had two different experiences. The first time was fantastic! I had the veg platter, roti, and gravy, and everything was delicious. The second time, I came back with the same expectations, but while the food was still good, it wasn’t quite as great as the first visit. On the plus side, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was lovely. Overall, a good experience.

Service was on point, the lady who was serving us was extremely pleasant, kind and patient. She explained the menu and helped us order the things we like. This was our first time and it was amazing! The food was authentic, flavourful and presented extremely well! She also asked us our level of spice, and brought out a sample of our butter chicken sauce for us to taste the level of spice before they brought it out, this was NEXT LEVEL! They truly care about the customer experience! We will definitely be back. This place is a must try! The Fish Pakora was the best I’ve ever had!

Food was subpar / ok at best and on the too greasy side for me, which came as a surprise given the high google rating. I do want to mention that the service is good, and there is a limited amount of seating (it's smaller/cozier than expected once you're inside). We tried the butter chicken and chicken biryani for dinner. One cool unique thing they do, is allow you to try the sauce base for the butter chicken before they make it - so modifications could help make your experience better. My friend went with the default base for the butter chicken and found it to be much too tangy in flavor rather than sweet/buttery. The chicken biryani was really basic/plain with not much chicken - while flavour was good, I just felt the value wasn't there relative to the portion. Lastly, we got mango lassi and it was very yogurt tasting with not much mango flavour, while also being too sweet.

Food is good has lot of options the chef would first send out a dish sample for you to taste and add if anything is missing or to change the spice level. This is kind of very good and unique as not many restaurants do this. This makes the dish customized as per your taste and definitely not gives you the same regular taste which we find at every restaurant. There was only one server at the time of our visit with a pleasant and welcoming smile would be better if there were 2 as the one staff was doing everything managing the counter and the tables.but overall she was very welcoming and hardworking person Small restaurant cannot accommodate big group
