Rio 40 Restaurant

I had an amazing dinner at Rio 40! This restaurant was recommended by Brazilian friends and everything was delicious. The place had nice decor, beautiful murals on the inside. I liked the pothos plants climbing up the brick walls. Our waiter was attentive and have some good suggestions. We ordered cheese balls appetizer, the picanha dinner, and gorgonzola strip loin dinner, cooked exactly to our preference. The portions were big and it came with fries, rice, beans and other toppings. The price was worth it for all the food you get, we couldn't finish our dinner! I told my waiter it was our first time there and he taught us how Brazilians typically eat the picanha dish by mixing the toppings with the rice. We finished off with the cocada com sorvette dessert, which was coconut gratin with ice cream. It was so delicious! I definitely recommend Brazilian food and Rio 40°.

This is an amazing Brazilian restaurant. The foods are delicious and generous portions. We got the grilled pork and rib eye steak. We also ordered the tiger shrimps in their very own made sauce. All turned out to be great. Atmosphere is really nice and welcoming. The staff are friendly and customer service is top notch. I’m sure I’ll be back and will try other dishes. Highly recommend this as they made sure that we get the best experience as our first time customers.

The food is incredibly carb heavy and will sit inside you like a brick. The picaninha ( I have no idea if I'm spelling this correctly) was terrific and carried the smoky grill flavor. The coconut cream shrimp was good too. It's just really hard to get over all the carbs from the brown onion powder to rice to fries all in one plate. I thought the desserts were good. Bridgadeiro and the flan substance were pleasant. Overall, a really dense and heavy meal.

First time eating here. The service and wait staff were so nice and friendly. Food was just out of this world. We ordered a bunch of stuff and everything tasted great. Highly recommend.

3.9/5 Great food and atmosphere. The restaurant was very lively with a welcoming vibe catering to families and couples. The food is authentic and of larger portions. For Appetizers, we tried the Coxinha which was hot and crispy with a tasty filling and Fried Cassava which was room temperature and quite starchy. For mains, we tried the Ribeye Steak and the Tiger Shrimp Stew. The steak was medium rare and seasoned well. The stew was flavourful and paired well with rice. There wasn’t anything exceptional about our dining experience here but a great restaurant if you’re interested in exploring Brazilian food.
