We went on a Friday night and surprisingly it wasn't too busy. It definitely should have been because the food was incredibly delicious. Spicy actually means spicy here, which I love. The special chicken chowmien was my favorite. The special chicken fried rice was flavourful too. I ordered the saltfish bokit and was given the chicken bokit. I didn't realize until later because we ended up taking it to go. The chicken bokit was very enjoyable none the less. Mistakes happen so it's no big deal. The customer service was lovely. The owner was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was casual and the music was really good. I'll definitely return to try the saltfish bokit.

Found this delightful French Caribbean Creole food vendor at a Markham Grounds Soca event this past Sat. One of the standout dishes and my absolute favorite is the Plantain fries🍟which are crispy, golden, and served with a real nice mango sauce. The combination of flavors is irresistible 🌟 The flavorful 🌴menu boasts delicious options like the Steak Bokit and Banana Beignets. You can tell each dish is crafted with love, care and passion and the rich flavors of the Caribbean are undeniable. Riko Bokit has all the makings of a hit in the 🌆. The combination of friendly service and mouthwatering dishes, it’s sure to become a favorite among locals and visitors alike to TO.

My partner and I came here for a late lunch during the week and we were blown away by how good everything was - service (the guy behind the counter and working the kitchen was so nice); atmosphere; and most importantly, food. We had the chicken bokit [regular] and the chicken roti. I've never had a bokit before, but I can't wait to have it again. It looks like nothing special on the plate, but it is mouthwateringly delicious. My partner loved the chicken roti, and was impressed that they got a spice level he loves (he asked for them to make it spicy). We ended the meal with the banana beignets (six) with almond cream (extra $2) and you could tell they were just made fresh when we ordered them. So delicious, and I like them much better than the beignets I had in New Orleans. We can't wait to come back and we'd highly recommend checking this place out!

We made the best decision trying this place out tonight. Fantastic food and conversation with the owner. I had the small saltfish bokit on the owners recommendation and can’t wait to come back to have it again. My husband had the chicken roti and basically ignored me the entire time he loved it so much. We ended the evening with banana beignets in an almond creme sauce, the perfect desert after a satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

We had the Veggie Fried Rice and the Veggie Roti, and they definitely hit the spot! We asked for it to be very spicy and it did not disappoint. 🥵 If you’re not into the heat, you can play it safe and order without the intense heat. If you’re up for it, then go wild. 🤪 The twist on the traditional Guyanese Fried Rice turned out fantastic. It gives that comfort of the Fried Rice your tastebuds know but adds a new sensation to the mix. Likewise with the Veggie Roti. Riko was truly remarkable hosting us; very kind, friendly, professional, humble; even exchanged a few stories with us. Not forgetting the chill Caribbean vibe that the atmosphere invoked. Definitely didn’t feel like we were in Downtown Toronto. The overall experience exceeded our expectations. Will definitely visit again and encourage others to do the same.

Excellent Caribbean cuisine. I had the chicken fried rice which came with BBQ chicken wings and my friend had the warm veggie bokit. Both were delicious and well presented on real plates. Perfect level of spice and large portions. Service was fantastic and super friendly. Affordable and low-key place to eat before or after catching a show nearby. Will eat here again.

Discovered this place randomly while walking, the place is cozy the staff is so welcoming and kind. Not all items on the menu were available but the suggested available ones were good. Their saltfish accras are a must try. Had a pleasant experience overall.
