The layout of the place is beautiful, the food looks great. I just had a regular coffee because how else should one judge a cafe? The coffee was fine, strong but a little too roasted for my taste. The music and ambiance give this a nicely elevated and casual feel. This would be an excellent stop before a play or museum tour.

Ricarda’s is lovely restaurant which also features a connected bakery that serves fresh muffins, bread, and pastries. Ricarda’s offers a variety of dining experiences, from casual lunches to more elaborate multi-course tasting dinners. Its menu leans toward Mediterranean and European cuisine, with highlights like shakshuka, steak frites, and crêpes. There coffee shop is amazing make some good coffee. The space is not only a restaurant but also serves as a top event venue with the adjoining QRC West Atrium capable of hosting large events like weddings and corporate gathering. Ricarda’s also holds special events such as Crêpes Tuesdays and a popular weekend brunch. The vibe is family-friendly but elegant, making it suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. Customer service is super awesome. I will recommend this cafe for brunch and lunch.

We were here for a wedding and the space itself was so beautiful for both the reception and ceremony. They had everything working so smoothly the whole time and the food was delicious. I kept wanting more of the food.

Had brunch at Ricarda’s for their Sunday Jazz Brunch and overall, it was a good experience. The food was delicious and great value – we had the eggs benedict and avocado toast, both were fresh and well-made. The live jazz music was definitely the highlight! The musicians were amazing and really added to the atmosphere. The only possible improvement was the service. Even though it wasn’t that busy, it took a bit longer than expected to get refills and food, which was a little bit off the general quality. I also didn’t like the service being done from over the back of the booth because the server was not able to reach over the tables because they are too big. It caught us off guard every time food or drinks were being served which is just a flinch away from an accident. But the ambiance of the place is great – the decor is modern and inviting, perfect for a relaxed Sunday meal. Overall, I’d recommend it, especially if you’re a jazz fan. Just be prepared for a slightly slower pace when it comes to service.

Went there for breakfast. Ordered the brunch feature (Montreal brisket sandwich) and the Ricarda’s Paris (a continental breakfast+). They were both very good. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s upscale, spacious and the open kitchen is a great touch. Service was very good as well. My only suggestion would be to improve the coffee. It’s a small step that goes a long way. I’ll happily return 👍🏻

Have been to Ricarda’s a few times now for brunch. The dining room feels bright and spacious, with a lot of large windows around the perimeter for daylight and nice views of the city. I like to get their Kir Royal, and it’s always a delicious beverage to have with the food. The crème de cassis gives a nice balance of sweet and tart aside from the bold dark red, purplish colour to the drink. Had the Ricarda’s Toronto for my entree, which was definitely enough to get full from. Comes with three eggs, sausage (which had a very nice maple flavour to it), bacon, sourdough toast, and some lemon pancakes. The pancakes were like a nice dessert to the meal. They’re a cute size, and really liked the dense texture and lemon flavour to them.

The food is really good! Fresh and well-prepared with good portion sizes. The service is quick and the server was very nice. The concept of being able to see into the kitchen adds a unique touch to the dining experience.

I’m only reviewing the cafe which has sandwiches and cookie treats for now. Since the pandemic, they have pivoted to events/catering and so the restaurant is open for lunch with limited hours and brunch on weekends once a month I think (their website will have all the info) Ricarda’s has always had good food (even before the pandemic). I stopped by to quickly get a sweet cookie treat and I was not disappointed. I was blown away. In fact, the peanut butter cookie I got was the best I’ve ever had - and I’ve had quite a few! It just raised my standard for peanut butter cookies. I may not be able to buy another peanut butter cookie elsewhere. This cookie should win an award. And I bought it at the end of the day, I can’t imagine how heavenly it would taste if I got it fresh. I have to return another day and get it earlier. They also have a pistachio cookie which I need to try. The cookie is topped with whole roasted peanuts, lightly sugared for that extra crunch, drizzled with little rivers of sticky caramel and salt. The cookie itself is perfectly balanced between crunchy and chewy. There is a sitting area outside the cafe. The architecture is absolutely stunning. Having your coffee and eating in the open area surrounded with amazing architecture is life’s little pleasures.
