Great coffee shop on King William with many delicious baked goods, all of which are made on-site. The staff are very, very friendly and take great pride in their service. Bonus points for having late hours and hosting a number of community groups in the evening.

Relay makes a MEAN vanilla latte. I drop in whenever I’m downtown. Their breakfast waffle sandwiches are a little pricey but always worth it. The service is always friendly.

First time trying this coffee shop located in downtown Hamilton. Had great reviews so I thought I’d check it out. Coffee and service are fine but the breakfast sandwich was very disappointing. Paid $20 (tax included) for a breakfast sandwich and small americano. Sandwich was around $14 likely and definitely not worth it. Feel quite ripped off if I’m being honest. I did ask for it deconstructed however everything was barely warm, the veggies were cold and it was just difficult to eat. I had to ask for the food to be microwaved because the whole thing seemed like it had been sitting out for 10 mins. I’d recommend the coffee but I wouldn’t recommend food here.

This café is probably on the best street in Hamilton. While it’s small and not a 'main' street, you’ll find nice spots here. It’s clean, and every place has a patio, which adds to the sense of safety in this city full of homeless people. The espresso was good, and the girl who served us was great. The interior is very interesting and nice.

Holy cow. RELAY probably has the BEST cold brew I’ve ever had. It’s creamy, chocolatey without being cloying.

Our kids downtown have made this their regular go-to for coffee and a baked good. They treated us to coffee this past Sunday, and I can sure understand why they enjoy it so much. Even though spacious, it feels cozy, with separate spaces for sitting at tables or on comfy couches and chairs. Excellent coffee and the baked goods are terrific. Based on the other customers' orders, I think the waffles must be delicious - they were flying out of the kitchen! Sure to become a regular stop.

It’s one of the top rated coffee spot in Hamilton and I understand why. Very nice staff, good atmosphere (natural light, comfy seats) and they have the BEST playlist! I can’t stress that enough, the BEST! Bobbed my head to the songs my entire time there. Drinks and food are top notch. The cheddar and bacon biscuit is delicious! The waffle too. Also, the price point is quite good (especially for the waffle!) Technically there’s a 75 minutes limit on the wifi but they seem quite nice about it. (I’m not offended at all about that rule as it’s pretty common for places popular with remote workers, it’s kinda common courtesy to not hog the space when it’s busy and not nurse the same drink for hours) They’re open late (9pm) which is great because a lot of places close super early around here. Will definitely be back!

It was my first time visiting Relay and definitely won’t be my last. I initially wanted the cold brew maple oat drink, but they were out of cold brew. The barista offered to make me the same type of drink, but with espresso. Wow, this was probably the best iced espresso drink I’ve had all year. The service was top notch, as well. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I also love the ambiance of this place! Wish I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. Last but not least, they have a pumpkin cake on the menu for the fall and it was absolutely amazing. Just the right amount of sweetness, you need to try it!
