Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! An appropriate name: "Rapido" for a quick lunch that will do more than fill your stomach. The roasted turkey panini is toasted for a thin, cracker like crisp that's addicting to bite down on, rewarding you with the umami-filled bite of turkey and tomatoes, along with the gooey cheesiness thanks to the mozzarella.

I walked in today without even knowing the name of this café because I had just finished work and was starving. Upon entering I was greeted by a very friendly server who explained what foods they have and showed me the hot food bar. I ordered the chicken parm meal which was part of the hot bar and honestly it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in Toronto. It was fresh, delicious, and came with tasty sides. The price was very reasonable given the portion, quality, and freshness of the food as well as the atmosphere and service. Definitely coming back and I can’t believe I was unaware of the existence of this place! It’s a true Toronto gem.

My first visit there. Nice atmosphere, and friendly staff at the front. 👍 Area of improvement, I ordered the special, Curry pork & veggie on rice, but I literally found only "1 tiny piece" of pork (approximately 2~3 cm) from the entire meal. 😅

The food at rapido is amazing. Every day there's a new selection of hot foods and side salads and you can never go wrong. I've yet to have anything but an excellent lunch here! The coffee and snacks are great also. Google asked me to update the review: nothing has changed. Rapido is still excellent! We were greeted by a lovely young lady with an Irish accent I believe and she was very helpful and let us sample the soups before committing to one.. so we ordered a meatball sandwich that was to die for.. the soup was great too!.. the ambience was very casual and quaint.. super selection for a small place and everything looked delicious.. I think they have a location nearby that does catering.. oh ya and the prices were just right! Well done guys!
