IFYKYK…a staple in Toronto for over 30 years for the beef patty lover in “little Jamaica”! It was closed down and then reopened under new management however the patty’s taste the same and I was worried it might not be with new management. Very clean spot. No dine in. They also offer meals to go. Definitely worth a trip if you’re in Toronto and love Jamaican food and or beef patty’s. A box of 12 is $30 and if you love your patty’s with cocobread then you will be pleasantly surprised! No pics was too busy eating…Tell them I sent you 😉

I went to Randy,s Patty for the first time since reopening. I want to say it was delicious. The filling was amazing. It is the best patty I have had in years. One question for the owners…when do you think mild patties will be available. The spicy patties are too spicy for the children to enjoy. Thank you.

I grew up on the original Randy's Patties. We'd travel from the ends of the earth for that unique, authentic taste. I'm happy they reopened and are fulfilling a want of the community. They've done well trying to preserve the staple beef patty taste according to those I know who eat beef. But, the veggie flavor and quality is rather off. They just reopened, and I'm sure they'll revisit it. They're customer service is top notch and they are very attentive to thier customers. If they fix that taste I'll be back to revisit it.

Went at 11, already a little line; got beef patties FRESH - BEST patty I’ve ever tried…don’t hesitate just GO and get minimum 6

The patties no longer taste the same and anyone saying otherwise is new off the hype who has never went there before it closed down. The outside of the beef patties are hard. I'll never go there again. Disappointed and it's pricey. Save yourself time and go to Patty Time which is much better.

Waited in line looking to try the Randy’s patties I loved from years back. I was reading the reviews while in line and thought I’d still give it a try despite the mixed reactions. Well I’m happy to report that these beef patties are amazing. As of Oct 2nd, 2024 you are allowed to buy one dozen max, and one to try while at the store. The crust could be a little more flaky but the filling is delicious. Find me a patty that is this generous on the filling. I doubt you’ll find another place in Toronto. 5 stars for me.

I was extremely excited to hear Randy’s made a come back. Even had family from out of town plan there stay around visiting shop. While the line is expected and they were prepared to wait, they were pretty disappointed to find only one cashier for a line out the door. They put a limit on how many patties could be purchased (max 6) while at the same time having a whole food truck at the CNE. The filling for the patty was minimal and does not cover the whole pastry. It is almost like they used a small icecream scoop for portion control of the beef feeling. Pretty disappointing for a restaurant that has been highly anticipated for a few years and has received ALOT of media coverage. In the photo you will see that you will need to have a few bites before getting to the beef filling..

Edited to add: I was in fact charged $18 for 6 patties therefore yes, that would be $36 for a dozen patties. I bought 6 beef and 6 chicken! Your cashier must be charging certain people certain prices then. Also, the comments speak for themselves when dozens of people are giving the same negative commentary, it doesn’t taste the same. The patties no longer taste the same and anyone saying otherwise is new off the hype, and never went there before it closed down. The outside of the beef patties are hard as rock and the patties are pure salt now. The curry goat thankfully tastes the same. I’ll never go there again even if it’s around the street. Patty Time it is. Highly disappointed and it’s $36 for a dozen.
