ramen RAIJIN is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
Welcome to “ramen RAIJIN”, a spacious and welcoming ramen restaurant in downtown Toronto. The decorative wooden beams on the ceiling are designed to evoke the feeling of a thunderstorm, with the wood representing clouds, and the lights representing lightning. Our signature ramen soups are Tonkotsu soup (pork based soup) which is mild and cooked in a pressure stockpot and boiled in high temperature, and clear Torigara soup (chicken based soup) slowly simmered and thoroughly temperature controlled. You can enjoy a variety of Japanese food such as gyoza, karaage, healthy vegetable, as well as sapporo beer and Japanese sake. We also offer onigiri (Japanese rice balls) and bento boxes at a Japanese convenience store located within RAIJIN.

We didn't wait long and came around 5 pm. They seated two of us in the middle long table along with other solo customers. Delicious ramen. I would not recommend adding tofu as it was just plain tofu and doesn't add much to the flavour of the ramen. We did need to flag the waitress down for the bill but otherwise great service.

We were seated fairly quickly although there was a small wait. There are many options for ramen, with pork and chicken options. The miso ramen was very flavourful and the butter added the perfect touch of creaminess to the ramen. The yuzu ramen was very light and had a great citrusy flavour. Both pork and chicken chashu were tender. The egg was probably the best part (one of the best ramen eggs we’ve eaten). We tried the mochi which had a sweet and salty soy sauce coating that we liked. The mochi itself was very soft and chewy!

Best tsukemen in Toronto. I had cold noodle tsukemen. The broth was very good and balanced, but also the noodles were flavorful. Mackerel was good, but I would prefer the broiled version. My favorite ramen place in Toronto.

Absolutely wonderful experience. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese ramen place, this is the place to go. With a wide variety of ramen flavors, from spicy to savory, chicken broth to pork broth, they have it all. Not only that they have a wide variety of desserts that will surely satisfy your taste. Especially if you like matcha! The atmosphere is also very reminiscent of a ramen shop (it is a ramen shop, but it is the vibe, if you get what I mean). 10/10 experience! Try it out!

My first visit to Raijin was a great experience! This spot is a bustling ramen joint, so I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time. They offer a unique selection of ramen flavours, and the portions are generous. I even picked up a few frozen ramen packs to go, with a nice 10% discount on walk-in orders. Great job, Raijin team—keep up the fantastic work!

I visited a Japanese noodle shop and had the Jiro Ramen, which I haven't eaten in 3 years. I’ve tried it at other places, but it wasn’t what I expected. However, this one was pretty close and absolutely awesome! I was super satisfied with the flavor—it was great. One small difference was that I couldn't add extra, extra, extra oil or extra, extra, extra karame (topping), but it was still acceptable. They offer regular, large, and extra-large sizes, with prices around $20. Overall, I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could! Next time, when I’m feeling even hungrier, I’ll definitely come back.

I've seen this place on Instagram and have always wanted to try it. Their ingredients are so high quality, it's all made with love and care, and I really like their head chef! This ramen is very good; noodles cooked to perfection, very flavorful tonkatsu broth, not too salty but very rich too, delicious pork, and overall a great meal for lunch! Highly recommend and I will be coming back :) The service was a little bit on the slow side and we had to wait for a table since it was very busy for lunch.
