Quik Sushi

Although the staff was friendly and the service was quick, it felt like they didn’t care at all about the quality of the food. Nothing was cooked to order. It was all pre-prepped and assembled. Even the fried egg on my bibimbap wasn’t freshly cooked. My meal was cold and flavorless, and it took literally just one minute to prepare, no exaggeration. Which made it clear that no effort or passion went into making my meal. I also got four pieces of nigiri, but it didn’t taste fresh. The salmon, in particular, had an unpleasantly greasy, fatty texture, which was really off-putting. For $27, I expected a bit more effort. Considering there were no other customers at the time and no line, I would've appreciated if they took some extra time to prepare food with more love and freshness. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. I’ve had much better meals at the Lawrence Market, and if I’d known better, I would’ve spent my money somewhere that truly valued the food and customer experience. 1/10. I won’t be returning.

This place used to be great! Never the friendliest service but fairly efficient. The food was amazing with incredible portion sizes, up until recently! I've been going here for two years, and in the last 3 to 4 months, the serving size has been cut down by at least one third wth the price staying the same. Don't go here as often now. Greed or inflation, either way, I'm not supporting that noise.

I used to love this place when they used to sell decent Sushi, now they just sell thinnest possible fish slice on a thick brick of rice. To add to that they continue to jack up the prices. No thanks, I can wait till noon to get my sushi at a better place going forward.

Pretty good sushi and tempura; it's one of my go-to spots when I'm at St Lawrence Market and in a rush. I can't say that I ever crave it otherwise, but has good options and it hits the spot.

Had the Bulgogi which was fantastic. Rice had nice consistence. Really nice lunch option at St. Lawerence.

Decent spot for sushi if you're in the market and have a craving, but nothing to go out of your way for. It's relatively overpriced especially for pre-made sushi, and overall quality is average. This review is strictly for the sushi as I haven't tried their tempura, which does look delicious and seems to be a hit with people who have tried.

Delicious - over-ordered because I was greedy but managed to finish bulk of the food. Esp love the kimchi. Very freshly made, so it was crunchy & not sourish & ‘dead’ like regular store bought over-fermented variant. The tuna & salmon sashimi was a slight disappointment.. didn’t seem super fresh. But this is the first time I’m having sashimi in Toronto, so this could be the way it is. Overall, a satisfying meal!

Quik Sushi in St. Lawrence’s Market in Toronto cemented itself as one of my favourite places to quickly satisfy Japanese food cravings while we were in Toronto. In fact, I would even say one of my favourites of all time in the places I’ve visited. The batter of their prawn tempura was very airy, light and crispy. The prawn tempura was savoury enough on its own but with the dip, it adds even more layers of umami, outclassing even other prawn tempuras I’ve tried in the past. Fair prices for their food too, Beyond tempura, they also do gyozas, bento boxes, sushi and teriyaki served with rice. I highly recommend Quik Sushi in Toronto!
