The older lady had the personality of a doorknob I was reading the menu and she made me feel like I was bothering her because I didn't order right away, tried the chicken roti huge mistake the takeout container was filled about 1/2 way up with liquid almost like curry soup, the chicken itself was cooked perfectly but the taste of the curry was more east Indian than west Indian style......I had to book off work and stay close to the bathroom

We bought jerk. Lady was rude, scream at us telling us to move the bottle back in the display. . Out of nowhere!! We were just waiting for our food and looking at their display...Didn’t consider us as customers, and told us, I dont have to say thank you to you. Not a great environment. Seems like employees are projecting and do not get paid well.

Great experience at Portland’s. 30+years, this is one of Brampton’s go-to jerk chicken spot. The food is always fresh, flavourful, and service is friendly. They do sell hot sauce and some other items as well. Check them out

So damn good that the craving for their jerk pork came back 5 years later when I started working in the area again and I'm so glad it did. Go at lunch time during the week and you'll see people from every background, wearing everything from high-vis gear to suit jackets. That's how you know it's one of the best.

Stopped in here for lunch what a wonderful experience friendly staff delicious food. Me and my husband ordered the jerk chicken, which came with a nice portion of rice and beans and a side of coleslaw. Charmaine was a delight with a beautiful bright smile and a friendly demeanor, allowing us to sample a little bit of pork and oxtail as well. Oh boy was it delicious decided to go back and get a nice large portion to share with the kids. What a Jamaican treat. Definitely worth a try.

Jerk Pork + Oxtail gravy combination is the best thing I've ever tried here and I used to order often. However sometimes the service could be better. I say that after the last order I placed was given away after I ordered over the phone, informed them I'd be there in twenty minutes, and when I arrived they told me they gave it to someone else and here was no jerk pork left. Never went back after that. It's been at least 3 or 4yrs.

First time trying Portland Jerk, so I ordered the Jerk chicken. Honestly, a little bit disappointed. I didn’t think it had any flavour, or maybe it was just toned down? I also thought the rice and beans lacked flavour. But the chicken was moist and tender, plus the prices are great. I’ll definitely come back and give this place another try. One thing, I wish they gave more coleslaw.

NO WIFI. The lady in there is very rude I would deduct stars but the guy in there helped me out and is very awesome so I won’t. I love their food. I usually go there for the Tuesday special every Tuesday. They want to charge you for extra hot sauce now and they also raise the price of the Tuesday special $6.50 after taxes which I’m okay with. Cost of living! Lots of variety of food and drinks! Lots of parking but cramped parking lot! Amazing food! I get their rice and peas with oxtail sauce! Good stuff! Recently made the hot sauce containers smaller -1. Raised again 2024. $6.78
