Their service was top notch. I don’t mean how fast they brought out the food but how amazing the staff’s personality was. Food was great too. Great for a quick snack with your friends.

First visit. Sat at the bar and the people were so friendly. Bartender, Adam (owner) ask our names. That’s rare and so welcoming! 1lbs wings was delicious. Adam suggested a mixed bbq sauce and a spicy sauce. Yum! Cooked to perfection! We stayed to chat and catch up and never felt rushed to leave. Music was a mix of greats and just loud enough! Will be back. Little neighborhood gem! Shhhh don’t tell anyone! 😉

One of the most charming bars you’ll get to experience, you can tell that there was a lot of thoughtfulness in how everything is curated. Their shrimp cocktail and burdock cherry sour combo is the reason I live. The service staff is the most friendliest people you’ll ever meet - big shout out to the staff and Nevada for always keeping the show running!!

I've been going there since the first week it opened. It has never failed to be a great place to visit. Cocktails are awesome and service is fantastic. We miss Bailey's smiles though, can't lie. Keep being unique and unpretentious and serving great drinks. Stock up in Pisco too...

Had brunch at Poor Romeo and can’t wait to come back in TO to try the other options. Had the Mushroom Toast and the Cinnamon Toast to share. Food is good and tasty. We were pampered by the two waitresses that made sure we were well taken care of - Service was impeccable!!

I went here today for the mrs roper romp. Bartender and staff handled all the customers well. It got super busy fast because we all arrived at the same time. Bar tender was amazing! Drinks were delicious! I had buffalo cauliflower and they were really good! Everyone I spoke with enjoyed their food and drinks. I recommend this bar if you want great drinks and food!

Had brunch at Poor Romeo and really enjoyed the experience. The service stood out, thanks to our attentive waitress who made us feel welcome and looked after. I tried the salmon salad and it was delicious—fresh and cooked to perfection. They also have a good selection of beers, which was a nice bonus. It’s a great spot if you're looking for a relaxed meal with some tasty options.

With a small patio at the front, Poor Romeo is a haven for those who love direct sunlight. Maybe it was how the sun was hitting the restaurant on our July visit, but even with all the umbrellas up there wasn’t an ounce of shade. Not wanting to roast, we safely seconded ourselves inside. Here I was greeted with a chill bar environment with tables so crammed together that it’d be a Tetris feat to get yourself into a chair if someone was sitting behind you. Luckily, it wasn’t busy on a Friday afternoon, so I jimmied myself into a highchair and settled down with a Gin Lizzy ($15). It’s a good first drink since it essentially tastes like a sparkling berry lemonade. The rhubarb reduction and lime make it go down so easy that you must remind yourself it’s not juice given it contains gin and prosecco. Personally, even with a refreshing cocktail, I like them tasting stiffer. The El Diablo ($15) hit the spot as the tequila was pronounced but mellowed with black berry concentrate and lime. The ginger beer helped to add a twinge of spiciness and bubbles. This was a favourite amongst our table. A couple of nibbles tied us over until dinner. The queso & chips ($12) arrived with plenty of warm crispy tortillas that were seasoned making them nice to munch on solo or with a sprinkling of finely diced pico de gallo. The queso was a great consistency coating the chip without being too thick and was perfectly seasoned so that it was flavourful without being overly salty. The wild zero wings ($16 for a lb) were hot and juicy, tossed in an apricot glaze that gave the wings a sweet and savoury element, sort of like a Thai sauce but not quite as syrupy. And if they weren’t saucy enough, a generous portion of creamy dill arrives as well. Poor Romeo is a great place for a quick drink with nibbles or a casual date. And if you’re in the area for an after-meal tipple, their version of an espresso martini is the Night Flight ($16). It certainly tasted of coffee, from a coffee reduction and Jägermeister cold brew, but mellowed out with vodka and a bit of creaminess from the Tia Maria.
