Tried all of the arepas and the portion sizes make the price reasonable, however the arepas themselves were bland. The veggie options were the best, the beef and pork were dry, the chicken tasted like a chicken mayo sandwich. Really disappointing given the price point. Hopefully just a bad day, but I wouldn’t go back.

Stopped in for lunch and so happy we did. The shrimp ceviche was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten. We also ordered the Reina arepas and pork empanadas. Loved having so many gluten free options! Lattes were also amazing. Great service and cozy vibe. We will definitely be back soon!

Wow this place blew my mind how good it was. The regular sized breakfast arepa was outstanding! Those flavors and the soft texture of the filling was outrageously good! The sous vide chicken arepa (Reina) was, O.M.G. For dessert, you MUST have the Tres Leches Cake. I could drink this cake is how good it was. Service was friendly and on-point. Bookmarked this spot as a few favorite!

Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Good ambiance, and they hv a tiny patio in the front but ample seating in the back. Staff is friendly and almost attentive. We ordered the pork with pickled watermelon arepa, and hibiscus & cauliflower arepa. The vegetarian arepa was good but the pork one was very soupy, and we had to get a change of plates as the liquid poured all over the plate and broke the bread. It was tasty but wud hv preferred more pickled watermelon to balance the flavours. Espresso was alright - machine needs better cleaning. A tad expensive in terms of value for money.

Nice (modern?) Venezuelan place near Coxwell station. Main food items are their arepas with a variety of fillings and empanadas. And of course coffees Had a great brunch with breakfast (scrambled egg) arepas, pork Carnitas, and a guava/cheese empanada. The eggs were amazing - very tender and flavourful. The pork was a bit on the drier side. The guava cheese empanada was very good. The guava was jammy and went well with cheese Also tried a cold horchata latte which was great.

Gluten-Free Options: Yes, many Cross Contamination: low Halal/ Kosher Options: No Vegan Option: Yes Vegetarian Options: Yes Nut-Free Options: Yes First Impression: Not your typical Venezuelan restaurant. The design/decor is very feminine and fits in with Torontos aesthetics. Favourite: The pabellón arepa was my favourite. The meat was seasoned well and the plantains were cooked to perfection. Critiques: The value for product doesn’t match. I was also disappointed with the portions, especially the empanadas. Bonus: They are also a cafe so you can get your coffee here. In addition, they have frozen empanadas and you can take them home and make them fresh at home. Take Away: It’s a great place to try but believe they either need to increase their portions or lower their prices. Follow on tiktok: @eatwithbuns

Our brunch at Pomarosa Cafe was a true delight. The staff's warmth and patience in helping us choose dishes made us feel welcome. The regular size Arepa and La Cupla were both delicious, showcasing the kitchen's expertise. The open kitchen concept added a personal touch, with chefs laughing and chatting. The cozy interior design created a charming atmosphere, making us feel like guests in a friend's house. To top it off, the hot chocolate with marshmallows was the most amazing one I have ever had. Its rich and velvety texture, combined with perfectly melted marshmallows, elevated the entire dining experience. Looking forward to our next visit – highly recommended for a delightful brunch, complete with unforgettable treats. ♨️🍫🔥

The Rosa Latte is the best latte I’ve had in Toronto by far. Not too sweet and there’s a subtle taste of rose petals in the drink, absolutely divine! I ordered the Reina (which is a sandwich with avocado, tomatoes and sous vide chicken) and that was delicious as well! I loved the crunchiness of the bun. I highly recommend this dish. They’re really generous with the portion of chicken, it was almost too much meat for me. Staff were also friendly, the place was well maintained and I loved the interior design of the restaurant- pink, modern and plants were all around, hanging down from the ceiling. There are two options once you enter the restaurant: Seat yourself and a staff will bring you the menu to order or pay at the front first and then seat yourself (we did the latter). They’re losing a star as my spouse and I both waited at least 25 min for the drinks and food. I understand it was a busy day but at least giving us the drinks first would have been nice so we weren’t just sitting there staring at each other.
