Pizzeria Defina is a bustling wood-fired Italian pizzeria located in Roncesvalles Village, Toronto. Inspired by rustic tradition, we offer a blistering thin Napoletana-style dough, a crispier firm Roma-style crust or for an adventurous palate, the ancient grain Kamut. We also offer gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, as well as pasta, wine, and take-home, family-style dinners. At Defina, our warmth and communal energy are what make us a popular host for friends and neighbours. Local patrons and visitors alike meet for our weekly Defina Night Specials and share what they enjoy most: good value, great quality and friendly service.

If you like thin, crunchy focaccia and generous helpings of olives, this is the restaurant for you! The service was friendly and attentive, mindful of the dietary restrictions at the table. The food was delicious - if you like thin, crispy crust pizza, you should definitely check it out! The cheese plate was very nice, relative to many in it's price range. It came with three cheeses (one of them blue), focaccia, olives, arugula, apple chutney, honey, and some sort of seasoned legume. It was great, the flavours worked very well together. The blue cheese was not an intimidating blue cheese, if you're on the fence! The sodas come in a pint pour.

We have eaten at Pizzeria Defina many times since they first opened but hadn’t for quite a while. We have always enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. On our latest visit we found that it is as always; a great place for most any occasion. Family friendly; the room is lively yet quiet conversation is still possible. Most important, the food remains top notch and their selection of wine and beer will satisfy most tastes.

Pizza was fine, nothing special. Ordered the "Pretty Margherita". There was nothing pretty about it. If you like your pizza slopped together with no care or attention to detail, this place is for you.

Nice little place . The service was great. The Calamari and Pulpo appetizer was awesome. The rest of the food was very good.

Stopped by for an early dinner. Inside seating looks to be limited. I believe there is a patio area as well. Both the pizzas and pastas were very tasty. The Winner and 504 pizzas were both nice thin slice pizza. The rigatoni and vongole were cooked al dente. Brussel sprouts and caprese salad were a nice start to the meal.

Enjoyable place that serves pizza, pasta and a bunch of other dishes and meals. In addition, the bar selection is great, the service is absolutely pleasant, the background music is tasteful too, therefore I'd say the nice times are guaranteed. Recommended.

Charming location, great staff (everyone was quick and efficient even on a busy Friday evening) and the food tasted amazing. Big portions, everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. We loved our pizzas (that roasted kale on top of my pizza?! Perfection!). I also especially enjoyed the baked eggplant - not so small plate. Such a unique combination and so tasty.
