Piano Piano Restaurant

We had an amazing time celebrating a special event at Piano Piano. The service blew us away. One member of our party was stuck in traffic and they accommodated us so well. The food was flavourful and consistent across the board and it was a lovely environment to celebrate. Would definitely go back!

I recently dined at Piano Piano on Harbord Street and, overall, had a much better experience compared to their Mount Pleasant Road location. The food was excellent—the pizzas, as always, were a highlight, consistently delicious and satisfying. The pasta dishes were tasty and well-prepared, but unfortunately, the portions were quite small, leaving us wanting a bit more. The atmosphere, decor and interior design was whimsical and fun! While the food impressed, the service fell a bit short. Our waitress seemed somewhat distant and perhaps even a little sad, and we also noticed she was a bit forgetful at times. However, we tried not to let this affect our overall experience. A more approachable and attentive demeanor would have gone a long way in creating a more welcoming atmosphere. That being said, Piano Piano’s Harbord location delivers high-quality Italian food, and the pizzas alone make it worth the visit. With slightly larger pasta portions and improved service, this spot could easily become exceptional.

Came here for a work lunch, and the Lobster Fussili and mushroom pizza was just delicious! I shared these with a colleague and portions were great. All the food was delicious. Staff were supper attentative. Definitely will come back again.

I came here on a Sunday night, the food was amazing. However the service was god awful. They forgot about the pizzas so there was 45mins in between our appetizers and the pizzas. We also had to flag down the server multiple times in order to get take out boxes and the final bill. Again the food here is really good, but the service is really bad.

I’d heard great things about this place but hadn’t had the chance to visit until now. Finally tried it for the first time! We ordered the Sweet Hornet pizza ($26)—a delicious meat pizza drizzled with hot honey. I loved how fresh it tasted, and the pizza dough was excellent. We also got the Calamari Fritti ($24), which felt a bit overpriced for the portion size. There was more artichoke than calamari, which was a little disappointing. Overall, a solid experience with great flavors, though some dishes could offer better value.

Amazing delicious food! I had the pleasure of enjoying the three course meal offered at piano piano with my friends for dinner. The ricotta starter was deliciously sweet flavoured and very filling. I had the rigatoni and meatballs as a main, some of the best meat balls I have ever tasted! And we finished off with the carrot cake which was delicious as well. The service was good however our when reviving our bills they were incorrect multiple times which was took time to fix.

Miraculously good food. The whipped ricotta and tomato salad (appetizers) were unbelievably tasty. The entire restaurant smelled like truffles (like my mushroom cavatelli pasta). You will adore the colourful, feminine, comfortable decor at the Harbord Street location.

We came here to celebrate a birthday! The dessert(carrot cake) is worth trying. Highly recommend it. We also tried their pastas and pizza. The pizza was great, the pasta was okay, could have been better. We added their in house chili oil and it enhanced the taste. The ambience is definitely great for a fine dining experience. The service was good too. I don’t mind coming back for the carrot cake and pizzas!
