Pho Anh Vu Vaughan

Really really small location. Communal seating, fresh to order dishes, very authentic Vietnamese style. Your clothes will definitely smell after. I got the # 54 ( grilled chicken, spring roll with vermicelli noodles, lots of fresh flavours, the spring roll was crunchy , crispy and delicious, the chicken was very tender and juicy. They DO NOT take reservations over the phone, Cash or debit only and what was shocking to me was NO SPLIT BILL. No matter how big your party is that you go with they do not do separate bills. That was definitely aggravating. I would return most likely during the week day.

My first time trying Pho.. it’s was eatinggggg! The broth was rich and flavorful. I love it spicy. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the fresh herbs and sprouts that came on the side really enhanced the experience. The beef was tender and flavourful.

Wow! This food chain is becoming more popular in the GTA. The food at all locations are delicious but we only go to this location because of the server that we met. Tuan always goes above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional service, you normally don’t get this type of service from most pho restaurants.

Although a busy restaurant it was not noisy. Great atmosphere, great place, great service!!!! We had a welcome greeting where our order was immediately taken. The waiter seems to take a “family-style” approach —he makes every customer feel like we were taken care of. Food came out really fast even though the place was busy, and everything was delicious. Very recommended.

I’ve been here on two separate occasions and they did NOT disappoint! The first time I went there I ordered the beef rib pho which comes with two huge pieces of beef ribs in the pho. WARNING: THEY GIVE YOU A SECOND BOWL THAT HAS A MONSTROUS BONE WITH TENDON, BONE MARROW AND MEAT THAT COMES WITH THE ORDER I was shocked when I received that second bowl because I thought I had ordered the wrong item but turns out that it was almost like a combo and honestly, I was not mentally prepared for that (I say that in the best way possible!) We also got the vermicelli bowl which was huge and the meat was SUPER tender and extremely flavourful! The second time we went, I ordered the BÚN BÒ HUẾ ĐẶC BIỆT (they only serve it on the weekends) which is like a spicy pork soup on steroids. I absolutely LOVED it! Tasted so authentic and probably one of the best Bun Bo Hues I’ve ever had in the GTA. The fresh shrimp rolls are to die for! So fresh tasting and the peanut sauce compliments it so well. (Thats why we ordered it both times. Only difference is that we got the small the first time we went and the second time, we ordered the large because we enjoyed it so much) The ambience is absolutely gorgeous and they serve this taro tea instead of the traditional green tea which was a lovely change. Overall, 100/10 experience! Would definitely recommend as a date night spot or even a family dinner!

The food was delicious and flavourful at Pho Anh Vu Vaughn :) Fresh Shrimp Rolls dipped in peanut sauce were delicious. Mango Salad with Grilled Shrimp was awesome. They make a really good mango salad. Would definitely recommend. The Hanoi Style Vermicelli Noodles with Grilled Pork and Spring Rolls was good. The grilled pork and mini pork patties that are soaked in a meaty umami broth were good. The spring rolls were crispy and flavourful especially when dipped in that meaty broth. We also made lettuce wraps with the vermicelli, grilled pork and herbs :)

I visited Pho Anh Vu in Vaughan a few months back after seeing it all over social media, but I found it didn't quite live up to the hype.  While the broth of the Pho was indeed flavourful with a good amount of meat, the spring rolls didn't stand out much, as I have had much better, and the fresh rolls didn't seem very fresh. There was also something that looked like a fly (it may not have been one) that was rolled into the fresh roll hence why I deducted a star to two. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and the service was efficient.  Note that you are required to go up to the counter to pay when you finish eating. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, and has a casual atmosphere. They also offer high chairs for the little ones, which is a nice touch for families.  There's free parking out front, as the restuarent is part of a strip plaza. Overall, it was a decent experience, but it didn't meet my expectations based on the buzz social media had generated.

After a long and fun-filled day at Wonderland with the kids and a friend, we decided we wanted some comforting soup to end the day. Pho Anh Vu turned out to be a perfect choice. It's a decent-sized, cozy place with a welcoming atmosphere. The service was fantastic, and we felt well taken care of throughout our meal. We ordered the Beef Rib Noodle Soup, which was a highlight. It came with bone marrow, a delightful bonus they include for free if they have some left. The portion was generous, with plenty of noodles and a rich, flavorful broth. My wife and I shared it and found it quite satisfying. We could have shared it with the kids too, but they were set on having their own Beef Ball Noodle Soup, which they enjoyed thoroughly. To drink, we tried the coconut shake and the Vietnamese coffee. The coconut shake was decent, though nothing extraordinary. However, the Vietnamese coffee was excellent and gave us the perfect pick-me-up for the drive home. Overall, Pho Anh Vu provided a great dining experience with delicious food and excellent service. We will definitely be returning for more.
