Colleague chose this restaurant for a work lunch event. Restaurant is spacious. Staff is attentive. I rated thebfood a bit lower as I found there was too much sauce on the items. It would be better if sauce was on the side for patrons to control themselves.

This is a review of the Bay Street location in downtown Toronto. In summary, this is a fun place to eat yummy food with friends. The menu features Taiwanese, Hong Kong and Japanese dishes. Some of these can sound a bit « adventurous » definitely (not your run of the mill restaurant experience) but that’s what makes it fun! If you can’t go to Asia to eat just come here 😀. The menu is HUGE (separate food and drinks menus). You can’t just come here once. The best bet is to order diverse dishes for sharing. Too many good eats to go through but some favourites: The Deep Fried Chicken Cartilage - lightly battered and not greasy, plus you are eating all parts of the chicken 🐔 very frugal ! The traditional Chinese soups are satisfying for cold winter nights and good for you - how about Lion’s Mane and Hairy Fig chicken soup, or Blackened Chicken with Conch and Ginseng? The Unagi Omurice (fried rice wrapped with an omelette topped with eel and teriyaki sauce) is delicious and filling (an entree sized portion for one or easily shareable for two). The Oxtongue Stew is delicious with a rich sauce and melt in your mouth meat. There is an entire menu section devoted to durian dishes which is heavenly for a durian lover like me. We tried the Durian Mille Crepe cake which was delicious. Very light cake, creamy durian throughout and not too sweet. And there are fun drinks like the James Bond martini with dry ice 🧊as well as bottled drinks like beer and soju. Lots of teas including blooming teas, and many coffee options. Got my eye on the « creama » drinks for next time. Also open for lunch. Can’t wait to try the Japanese souffle pancakes. Very clean modern decor. Next time you are getting together with people keep Petit Potato in mind. It’s a fun « off the beaten track » experience for foodies.

Came for a big group gathering - good location for this, many items on the menu, great dessert options. Personally i found the food just “ok”… i had the ox tail and it was way too tough to eat, the meat was not tender at all and the sauce was also not flavorful enough. I tried their spring rolls and it tasted like a frozen spring roll. I enjoyed the moscow mule i ordered, however. The server was friendly and service was decent.

We had 3 things here. All the food was pretty good which is great as their menu is so vast that we were worried the food might not be as good. The only issue we had was that there was like fallen eyelash extensions in our dessert but they replaced it for us so it was okay. I went here a second time and the server wasn’t very friendly to start with, it was well before an hour before closing but it felt like they were trying to rush us out asking us to pay, and then she even rolled her eyes at my friend when he was trying to get his card from him wallet. Food is great but so unfortunate that the service is bad.

Came on a Sunday night with a party of 13 for a friend's birthday at 10pm! Atmosphere was amazing, some of us had gone to the North York location and this one was similar, but the lighting wasn't as crazy bright as the other location. Everyone ordered their own dinner and food was great. More importantly, we ordered the Red Bean Matcha Special Golden Toast as the birthday dessert (reminder it needs a 30 min prep). They brought it out after our meals and sang happy birthday, they also had a special birthday sign and a free milk pudding for us! Space was great & washrooms were clean, about 4-5 all-gender rooms. Was super appreciative of how friendly, helpful, and communicative the servers were. Would absolutely recommend again.

Me and my family had an absolutely fantastic experience! The service was top-notch – the staff was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome. The food was simply amazing – every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The ambiance of the restaurant was the perfect setting, cozy yet stylish, and really set the mood for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, outstanding service, and a memorable atmosphere! Will definitely come back.

Great location for petit potato, no longer having to go uptown. Reservations are also available and same ordering system & menu. Everything ordered through their app and the food comes out fast. Pretty filling mains and lots of variety for desserts.

Old name new place. Honestly, the 3 greats here - great price for downtown, great food and superb service. The head chef even made us new dishes from their secret late night menu (coming soon) and it was awesome. Sorry for having image of the plates are empty cause we were extremely hungry and can’t wait for pictures! Definitely worth trying if you are nearby. PS - must try the Chinese soups, sooo good.
