Pete's Big Bite Burgers

Consistent 5 star burger spot. Staff are super nice, and the food is always legit! The gravy is soooo good! Highly recommend!

The fries were classic. Crunchy outside and fluffy insude—lightly salted so you can season or dip them however you like. If you order a combo, they also come with poutine. The burger patties were huge, juicy, and absolutely satisfying. Honestly, I could have ordered just one portion and shared it with my husband, and it would’ve been plenty. Now, I have to talk about the incredible inspiration and sheer amazement I felt from this restaurant. I ordered two $19 burger combos, and my total came to exactly $38. $19 + $19 = $38. And my bill was exactly $38! For a moment, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I had fully expected the usual practice of inflated 30 perc on top of my bill but here, the price was exactly what I was told. I drove home in disbelief and shared the experience with my husband. We were both in awe. I never thought I’d witness such a simple yet practical approach outside of Asia, and yet here it was, right in my neighborhood! I will definitely be coming back. Pete's Big Bite Burgers you got it right!!!

A classic neighborhood burger restaurant with outstanding burgers at really reasonable price. The combos also add value as they include fries, gravy and a can of name brand pop. The burgers can be topped to order or select one of the specialty burgers that add unique toppings.

My order: The Works combo (5oz. burger with grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon, and cheese) The burger was good, but it didn't wow me. My burger was excellently grilled, and the bacon was very flavourful, but if I were to give it a letter grade, it would be closer to a B than an A. That is not to say it was bad by any stretch, and it is certainly better than your average fast food burger, it's just missing that extra little something to push it over the edge in my view. Of note, the combos are very good value (spent under $40 for two people), and the fries and gravy pair perfectly (note to self: try the poutine someday). Overall, it is worth a revisit, and I'd be happy to get the burger again if I wanted to play it safe, though I'd also be curious to give the rest of the menu a shot.

The food was great. 5 stars. The burgers are flame grilled made to order. Not pictured are the house-made milk shakes we couldn't get enough of. All the staff were accommodating and friendly. It was busy when we got there, and it didn't seem to phase employees. I've been looking for the best onion rings in Durham region, and I think these guys have hit that spot.
