Pescaraa Restaurant & Venue

My husband and I were at this restaurant last year for New Year’s Eve and we had a wonderful experience, which is why we decided to return this New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately this time was not a good experience. We had a waitress who was filling in last minute who had no idea about the menu items, although she was very nice and accommodating. We were quite surprised to be told at 7:15pm that they only had 10 oysters left, which we ordered, but several of them were quite small in size so not worth the price. I ordered the lobster linguine and returned it as the linguine was undercooked and chewy, while the lobster was overcooked and difficult to take out of the shell, causing it to break off in my food. The food was not very hot at all. We were sitting close to the kitchen and the chef gave me a dirty look after speaking to the waitress when she returned my dish. Instead of the kitchen being separated by a wall or door, it is quite visible to the patrons and they hit a bell for the servers as if we’re in a diner. The second plate of linguine she gave me was better, but again, the lobster was difficult to take out of the shell. We ordered a bottle of wine and were told that they were out of that particular one, but were offered a bottle of Folonari for the same price of $70 (the waitress herself stated it shouldn’t be that price considering that it is a screw top, however, we were then told that would be the price so only one glass was ordered). It would have been nice had there been some discount on our bill or maybe a free dessert, but that was not the case. I think the restaurant either has a new owner and/or chef. We will not be returning.

But let's talk about the food! 😋 Every dish we ordered was an absolute masterpiece. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. 🤌 (Chef's kiss!) And the service? Impeccable! Our server, Raquel, was an absolute sweetheart. ❤️ She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Give that girl a raise! Got the gnocchi and penne (added chicken to it) gnocchi was good but the penne was very salty. The chicken was also very salty - I could feel and taste a layer of salt on each slice. The portions are small and for the quality the food was quite expensive. The bread given to the table was very good and soft tho. Service was great and atmosphere was nice. The sea bass and seafood plates looked good tho so recommend ordering seafood if you go Would have given the review a 1 due to the food but the atmosphere and service was good.

We made a reservation for a Sunday lunchtime here, to have a stroll in downtown area and then have lunch. The lady who served us was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, right on-time. We were offered bread, olive oil and balsamic vinegar as a welcome treat. The balsamic vinegar was very tasty. We ordered “French 75” from cocktail menu, which was delicious and hit the right spot. For entrée, we ordered “Veal Parmigiana” and “Braised Short Ribs” (daily specials). They were both fresh and delicious and strongly recommended. We were so full that we didn’t get to try their dessert.

Absolutely incredible restaurant! My boyfriend and I found this while driving down the street and it was SUCH A GOOD find! The food was incredible! Takes you back to Italy and the service was amazing! Felt at home and the interior was so nice! The waitress was also kind enough to pack my leftovers for me (not something I experience regularly). Highly recommend you to go because we were pleasantly surprised!

A gem in the heart of Oakville! My husband and I dined here yesterday for lunch. A rare find! Absolutely everything was perfect…from the Brazilian Sangria, plating, delicious food, (we had the seafood platter for 2, which by the way included 2 meaty lobster tails) the coffee, creme brûlée, attentive and friendly customer service and atmosphere. 10/10! A MUST TRY. This eatery will be a returning favourite for sure! There is also a lower level lounge which plays host to live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Very much worth the drive from Guelph!

I’ve been twice and it did not disappoint either time. Consistent and great service provided on both of my visits by Rachel. She provided amazing service and was friendly and attentive. My compliments to the chef! Food was amazing! Extremely flavourful and delicious. They had all of our favourite dishes too. If you like Italian seafood this restaurant is a must try. You won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back!

Such a quaint little find, right next to the Oakville square. Raquel/Rachel at the front was incredibly welcoming. The menu was wonderful to choose from. Lots of seafood and vegetarian options. We ordered lobster Linguine, Salmon and Sea Bass and all three dishes were incredible. The food palette was just perfect. We did decide to see what else was good and ordered the grilled calamari which is where things went south. It was a bit too chewy and tasted like charcoal rather then Calamari, but the restaurant were so concerned that we did not like it, they decided to not charge us for it. Overall the friendliness of the staff, along with the amazing food has forever committed us to visiting us again.
