Went there based on reviews and was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Alfred, was very helpful with suggestion and a sharp wit. The portions were ample and the taste was very good. We ordered the dinner for 4 and a few extra items like dim sum and spicy fried wings. The food came our faster than expected. Will definitely revisit when we are in the area again.

This is an OG Chinese Restaurant that has been there since I was a kid, it's nothing fancy but it does the job serving authentic Chinese food and especially serving dim sum 24/7 every single night. I remembered those good ol' days of clubbing and drive up here in the wee hours for some lobsters and dim sum and noodles. I do have to say that the dim sum here can be hit or miss, especially some of the dim sum dishes are either lukewarm or not steamy hot. I don't know what it is behind the kitchen, dim sum should be steamy pipping hot especially it's only being placed in the hot steamer. My shrimp dumpling was lukewarm. It's nice to know this restaurant is still running and providing good food for the people. Thank you for continuing to provide your patrons with good food 24/7. Thank you!

Ordered on Uber. Item 214 special yang chow style fried rice was literally flavorless and had no char. If they used a wok to make it, it must've been brand new because there was zero spirit to this rice. I had to douse it in several of my own condiments (as they provided none) to impart it with minimal flavor. The fried calamari was the biggest disappointment though. Look at what they advertise it as and then look at what I got. It was inedible. Soggy, sloppy, colourless and had a strong rancid fish taste and smell. I took one bite and almost gagged. Surprisingly the friend lobster was good, they get a star for that but still not good enough to save the meal.

Opens 24 hours with dim sum and private room for karaoke? Yes, please! We came here as a large group of 24, and we ordered a la carte. The portions were huge, and we were so stuffed at the end of our meal. There is a minimum order for each private room, ours even had another room for mahjong and a private washroom too. The service was friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed our time at Perfect Chinese Restaurant!

5 SONIC BOOMS - SERVICE EXCELLENCE! Crab Your Seat and Dim Some Lights: A Lobster-iously Perfect Feast Thatโs Boom-tastic! The Perfect Chinese Restaurant at 4386 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, ON M1S 1T8, has been serving up some of the best seafood and Cantonese dishes in Toronto since 1984, and my recent visit was proof of their staying power. Open 24 hours, this spot is a go-to for fresh seafood like lobster, king crab, and Vancouver crab, along with an impressive selection of dim sum. What made it even better was the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and the staffโs genuine hospitalityโthey made sure everything was perfect without being intrusive. With large private rooms for any kind of gathering, fully equipped with entertainment options, itโs easy to see why this place is a favorite for events. But even if youโre just stopping by for a meal, the quality of the food and service shines through. For over 30 years, theyโve been a staple in the community, and after my visit, I can confidently give them 5 Sonic Booms out of 5.

My party of 10 booked a private room to enjoy the mahjong table and karaoke system. We had an awesome time there and will go back again on our next visit to Toronto area! The food was not the best Chinese food - it was mediocre - we were okay with it, since we went to this place for the other entertainment. I did call to reserve the room a month in-advance and had to send a $100 CAD deposit to hold the small private room, and as we went on a Thursday, we had to spend at least $400 CAD on the food, which we exceeded. For the deposit, I had to use Paysend to send the money, as we are in the US and don't have a Canada bank account, and they wanted an e-transfer (similiar to Zelle). You can choose your own dishes and not go with one of the meal packages - we had to ask for the actual menu (and we did provide a written list to the server, to make it easier). As we wanted to use the electronic mahjong table, we had to give a $100 CAD deposit after we arrived (in cash) - to make sure we don't break it or steal the tiles. As for the karaoke system, we never experienced any feedback issues, the volume was good, and it does have English and Chinese songs. However, the system's screen is in Chinese - luckily, my SIL is able to read Chinese and found the screen to scroll through the songs to find the English ones, but you cannot search specific song titles or artist names - you will need to scroll every screen. As for the service, in general, the servers were really great, but the initial person that seated us (unsure if he was a manager, server, or host), he was rude and abrupt with his manners, but good thing that all the other people we communicated with afterwards were very nice and helpful. We stayed until close to midnight, as the private rooms close at midnight (the rest of the restaurant is 24 hours) - was told that if we stayed after midnight, there would be a fee. Overall experience was good - will be back here next time!

Found this place that had dim sum all day, so I decided to give it a try for dinner. On the menu, the dim sum section has photos for each item. The photos are average looking and the price was good. However, that's all the positive things I can say about this place. BBQ pork rice roll is overcooked, making it very sloppy. Deep fried squid tentacles are seasoned with bare minimum salt and white pepper. Usually this helps elevate the fresh squid flavour, but in this case it only showed the mediocre quality of the seafood. The shrimp dumplings were not fully cooked... When the waiter was notified of the issue, they promptly took it back to steam it for longer. Although the service was acceptable, the texture was not. The shell was gritty and the shrimp felt more paste-y than crunchy like a whole shrimp. The custard buns were barely warm when served. The inside tasted of a custard with too much sugar, and the bun was almost tough. The rest of the dishes were fine, but the signature dim sum mentioned above was all disappointing. Although my night was not ruined, I would not be back again for dim sum.

Perfect Chinese Restaurant has been a staple in my family for years. My dad absolutely loves this place for its reasonable prices and decent food. It's been part of our family traditions since my firstborn to my third, especially for special celebrations like moon day or 100 days. Despite trying to introduce him to fancier restaurants, he always sticks with Perfect Chinese. Honestly, it holds so many great memories that I'll continue coming here for that reason alone. The recent expansion with new private rooms has been a fantastic addition. We just celebrated my sister-in-law's 80th birthday in one of these rooms, which comfortably accommodated our group of 40+ people. The food was great, and the space was perfect for our celebration. During our recent visit, my family from LA and the UK joined us. My dad's love for this place means we don't argue about the choice; we just go with the flow to keep him happy. We ordered the Peking duck meal with some additional side dishes. The food was good, as usual. My daughter was a bit upset about the limited number of wraps for the duck, as we are used to having unlimited wraps at home, but that's a minor gripe. Overall, I still love Perfect Chinese Restaurant for its 24-hour dim sum. For the price, you really can't go wrong with decent food and the great space for private parties. It remains a place of cherished memories for our family, and I highly recommend it for its value and convenience.
